People like Cheney and John Bolton are in their camp now.
But I dont agree that the Republican party is sane.
I think both the Republicans and the Dems have degraded significantly both in policy they support and in the quality of candidates they nominate.

You have to take into account that whatever Trump spews from his nostrils is Gospel Truth to his cult followers. This is in spite of him proven to lie, mislead, etc over 30,000 times when he was in The Whitehouse. Cannot believe that Canadians even on this Board would passionately defend his charades. Trump wants to screw over Canada with those needless tariffs. That will result in a tit for tat implementation of tariffs with goods imported from the USA. Now we have had a Global inflation crisis, that Canada has tackled successfully, but these tariffs will push up the inflation. Do not know what excuses the Trump lovers on this Board have for these tariffs if and a big if he gets back into the Whitehouse!!

The guy's an off-color comedian on the rise. It's not a great joke, but it's a fairly straight-forward Halloween joke that makes the huge, huge offense that Black people like watermelons.

The U.S. is moving away from hyper-sensitivity in our language and culture. You're going to see some corners of our culture fight it, but it's happening. I hope Canada follows suit and doesn't get upset as a culture about every joke or misphrased comment. Who doesn't like a good Newfie joke? Or Jordan Peterson for that matter?

If you really want to be offended, you should find and post Hinchcliffe's Puerto Rico joke which doesn't really land. Republican leaders basically said it was a terrible joke and denounced it. These things will happen when you fill an arena and mix entertainment with politics.
