The violent ones should be deported.
When law enforcement catches a violent criminal they'd know the perpetrator is undocumented.
Then deportation proceedings can be started against that person.

Traditional media talking heads were dumbfounded that Trump got so much support from Hispanics. Because talking heads don't understand that illegal immigration impacts legal immigrants too.

You dont realize that Trump's policies is also to stop legal immigration to a great extent, do you?
I am not going to keep repeating after this post.
Deport violent ones, and keep the non-violent ones.
Strengthen border security and immigration programs to reduce illegal immigration.
Border security does not have to include a humanitarian crisis.

where is the 100s of billions?

You would need to deputize 1000s of officers.
You would need a deportation order from a court.
You need judges.
The immigration courts are already backlogged, so this will cause further backlogs.
Many of these cases will be complicated and not straight forward.
Anyone rounded up has to be housed.
You need law enforcement in that case.
You need to feed them, clothe them etc.,
There are operational costs.
It is a huge expense.
It is not like they catch an illegal immigrant and take him straight to a plane.
Dont forget the repatriation destination has to accept them as well.
