China is more practical and cultural resilient to adversity and can sustain a downturn and privation much longer than America can.

Yes and no IMO. The older generations went thru an extremely tough time and have always been taught to 吃苦 (chī kǔ) - eat bitterness or suffer. The younger generation is definitely not as resilient to adversity and you can see this in their youth unemployment numbers and "lying flat" movement. I think there will be some interesting times ahead for China if the economy continues down on its current spiral.

What you have no clue is that China is a very corrupt country and Xi has a big bullseye on his back...he can also be replaced easily.. you seem to forget that US don't play clean when it comes to competitors...

Of course Xi can be replaced, but I am sure China has extensive counter intelligence focused on members of the National Congress.

Vietnam already agreed to buy US military defences packages as well as F16s. You would think that given the ideologies of vietnam and china being communist and being close neighbours they would buy from china. There is a reason why prior to Xi's visit to vietnam, cambodia and malaysia it was being reported all over chinese state media and after his visits, the mentions of Xi's historic trip to vietnam was basically scrubbed.

Aside from China invading from time to time, I guess.....
