His parade failed and having big crowds adoring him is very important to his very frail ego. His economic plans are in ruins. MAGA is turning on him.
The G7 meeting he left early as Carney shut him the fuck up when he derailed. China made him chicken out on tariffs. When a newsreporter asked about people saying he was a chicken he snapped. He was stopped from replacing the Fed chairman. The wealthy right got him in because they thought Trump would make them richer has rebelled as his tarrifs are making them poorer. And then there is Musk.

The american government hasn't listened to voters for a long time, but the excesses of trump may foster change in the future. Though the dems were caught with internal messaging saying they need to listen to their rich donors and not voters as well. trump is very unwell, the senility is getting worse and everything he's doing is failing massively.

But, the fact that all reports (including those from Fox) said Trump was the one who made the army birthday celebration into a parade. The army was going to do a bunch of smaller scaled things across the country. This was not a bipartisan thing. In fact, there were many in the GOP who were against it. I'm sorry if this doesn't jive with your narrative. Or reality. Or facts. What is that thing Ben Shapiro always says? Facts don't care about your feelings.
