Danny, let me explain The Game to you.

Fox News isn't really a news organization. It's an organization that pushes lies and conspiracy theories to boost ratings and make $$$$ for Murdoch. They are smarter than you. They know that if they throw a wild and diverse variety of conspiracy theories at the world, a diverse variety of people will find at least something that they like. Those people will then tune out the conspiracy theories they dislike and believe the conspiracy theories that reinforce their existing world view. And those silly people will continue to watch the scam fake news bullshit network, just to get reinforcement for the conspiracy theories they believe in. And they will ignore the conspiracy theories they dislike. (Or perhaps accept them over time).

You say you "pick and choose" what you accept from Tucker. You give yourself credit for too much agency here. Tucker throws in conspiracy theories that appeal to self-conceived "lefties" like you because he know it will hook those people in to watching his show and boost his ratings.

Tucker doesn't actually believe any of this crap. Just like the Dominion lawsuit has proven. The Fox stars are told what to say and believe little or none of it. They just get paid well enough to lie on screen.

Wake up, Danny. You're being a silly-billy. The rest of the board has this figures out. You don't.

Mandy, I am not playing by the rules you and Frankie are playing by.
People like you and Frankie who are unable to think critically for yourselves, have divided up the world in WHO you unconditionally trust and WHO you unconditionally distrust.
As a result, you and Frankie are swallowing any propaganda that is put out by whom you trust.

I was given an excellent education in Europe before I came to North America, a cornerstone of which is to critically evaluate data (information) wherever it originates.

You and Frankie are some of the worst examples of someone's who swallow propaganda hook line and sinker. Please refrain from lecturing me on what I can read and listen to.

That's the only line of your post I agree with.

That report details emails submitted in court as evidence, along with other evidence that proves Fox airs stories it knows are bullshit.
Someone who is well educated would understand that and start a post with 'I know this comes from Fox but this story is corroborated by these sources/evidence'.
They might also state 'Carlson is not a journalist but a commentator, this is just an opinion but....'

But you didn't do that.
Why?

Tucker Carlson is beyond a joke and Fox fake news is just a parody of itself now, and it was bad before that. Fox might as well hire Alex Jones to have his own show, that is how much credibility that clown network has!!

Here is blockhead, lair Sean Hannity letting dingbat MTG spew her succession talk on Fox. After letting dumb Donald spew all his lies unchallenged for years, now they are letting an even dumber clown spew her garbage to their misinformed audience and for what......$$$$$!

I can't believe fucking Tucker Carlson of all people, of fucking Faux News, is making common sense statements.

God help us.

PS: Apart from that little, "Oh they are only against Russia because it is a culturally conservative state..." bit. But that was just a one liner so I will let that slide lol.

Danno, your ability to "critically evaluate date wherever it originates" is in fact a tendency - not really an "ability" - to cut and paste tankie nonsense from the limited palette of those who make money tossing out the usual platitudes about the US being the root of all evil and nothing else really occurring in the universe.

You swallow propaganda hook line and sinker. That is not an ability.

Here is one example:
Blowing up neutral assets and interfering with allies has never been an American move. I remain skeptical. And the piece ignores the fact that Germany has voluntarily cut Russian O&G imports in any event. And also that Russia has alternate ways of delivering the product.
I'm still thinking Russian false flag. Putin has a record of false flag attacks.

Below is a quote (Greenwald) which I think sums up what passes for critical thinking in Europe and elsewhere.

And therein lies the embodiment and definition of “anti-Americanism”: the parmaount desire to find fault and evil with the U.S. and thereby adopting that goal as the first and only real principle, from which everything else follows. That goal is then fulfilled by selectively and endlessly highlighting and exaggerating America’s faults and downplaying, ignoring and even defending far worse flaws in others. In its most virulent (and quite common) form, this extends to making common cause with the most abusive and genuinely evil regimes and movements around the world, whose only virtue –- the only one the European Left needs -- is that they are opposed by the U.S.

This is a deeply dishonest and manipulative syndrome, having nothing whatever to do with the principles to which its adherents claim fidelity. Indeed, their supposed “principles” (human rights, the sanctity of human life, individual liberty) are simply weapons, pretexts, used to promote the only real principle they have – that the U.S. is a uniquely corrupt and evil country. And the reason one knows that to be the case is because these same individuals systematically overlook and even excuse far more severe violations of their ostensible principles when perpetrated by the countries and governments with which they inexcusably sympathize (sympathy which itself can be explained by a desire to sit in opposition to any and every American interest).
