Agrreed FatOne!

Clever writing might have carried it through... however I did not see any evidence of that! The scene with Dharma & Greg was cheesy not to mention that Dharma (Elfman) played another character in an earlier show! So based on that, I predict this will be the last season- this is probably a last shot @ Charlie Sheen. Having said that, it was great to see all the hot women in one room (at his funeral)!

If the show producers don't continue with the parade of good looking women show after show I'm not watching that shit show any more, lol.

If Sheen did get $25 million, that is but a pittance for him; at $2 million an episode, that is $26 million a season, 2 seasons a year = $52 million/year. Plus residuals. While I agree that the show, unless some new imaginative writing appears, had run its course, it was still the top rated show in television with perhaps 2 years left after this one. We will never know. But we do know his public statement at the awards was bull and probably mandated by the settlement. If they did have " 8 wonderful years" togeher, why was he so pissed? For me Ashton Kutcher is flat as a pancake. When the lead is flat, the show is flat and doomed.

The rumour I heard, and it may be just that a rumour, that Sheen was getting a new show from a different network.

Was a faithful viewer over the years.

Have watched the first two episodes of this season. Won't be watching it again.

Given the explanation of his "death" I think they have left a loophole for him to return when the new guy bombs!!
Interesting take. Either that or they do a Dallas and have this season as nothing more then a bad dream or nightmare. I watched the season premier but I could not sit thru last nights episode as I don't identify with Kutcher's character as I started to get into Terra Nova.

Kutcher was not a good choice and his character is terrible. If the producers really want to keep this show alive they will have to bring back Sheen's character. At least people can identify on some level with Charlie Harper as opposed to Kutcher's Waldo's internet billionaire love sick character who was introduced by wanting to kill himself because he was jilted - what a wimp!

Actually, it was better than I thought it would be. Not sure how much legs it has as it was almost "done" anyway.
Agreed. The episode was actually pretty good but the show was much better in the early seasons when the kid was still little. I pretty much stopped watching it after that.

The last two episodes were by far the worst episodes ever.
The episodes are not so bad as long as Waldon is not in the scene but as soon as he is in the scene it takes the comedy out of the scene.
Ashton Kutcher is only one type of an actor and that is Kelso from the 70's show which suited that show very well. But his cast type does not suit this show at all.

I wonder if they will keep Rose, she is some nice eye candy.

Ditto for Judy Greer is the ex wife. Although I she makes stuff come out of my penis, I have to wonder why they use the same actress who played Herb's sister to play this character. Although it isn't the first time they have reused actresses.

Didn't like the second show much..

Based on the first 2 shows, everything feels rushed, the writing, the acting, it's like they are afraid the series will be canceled any second so they feel they need to throw as much stuff in as they can before that happens.

I'm going to give it some time for (new) character development to happen. Remember Seinfeld wasn't great its first season either.

Wow ... how wide peoples tastes are !

I thought Rose was a fat plain Jane when compared with Charlie's other hotties on the show. I thought that I would drop the show if the writers kept her on as Charlie's girlfriend (last episodes of season 8). It seemed more plausible that she was a result of Charlie's blind drunk one night 'oops' and then was a phycho stalker who Charlie would never go near.

I'm not a warlock fan during his meltdown but the chemistry is definitely gone and Charlie might 'Win' one more time.

Watched only the first part of the second episode after watching the premeire, and it's hard for me to imagine the show is going anywhere. Kuthcher's character is supposed to be a bright computer geek, but he comes across the way he has always come across. Not terribly bright nor a very good actor. The running joke seems to be his parading around naked. That's only gonna keep the little old ladies tuning in for so long. Except for Cryer, it just isn't that funny.
