If you are "giving the marriage an honest shot", then it's a genuine marriage and not a marriage of convenience. At least in Canada it is so. So you wouldn't be convicted in CanadaTypically I feel very sorry for such people and would like to wave my magic wand. But if you are going to play the Green Card Marriage Game at least try to pick someone you honestly feel at least some attraction toward, and give the marriage an honest shot.
I know this is hopelessly optimistic, still. . . Certainly I’m not going to counsel someone to commit immigration fraud. As the maxim goes if someone is going to be convicted make sure it's the client not you.
