Canada doesn't want to export Energy because most Canadians live in Ontario/Quebec, which is export dependant and benefits from weak Loonie. (Income in USD, costs in CAD, difference is profit, plus cheap labor by bringing in 3rd worlders).

Exporting Energy makes Loonie too strong and if strong enough, can literally bankrupt Canada (put a lot of Ontario/Quebec out of work).

The US is pushing hard to export their natural resources all the while Canada sits on it's hands pushing a false theory of global warming, oops it's climate change. Someday they'll decide which one it is.LOL
