Trump lost because of 4 years of craziness that had even the most ardent Republicans rolling their eyes. They finally understood what everybody who didn't vote for Trump understood 4 years prior.

That Trump neither has the experience, nor the curiosity, intelligence or temperament to be president.

Trump won primarily because of fueling racist hatred towards immigrants, particularly refugees, muslims and illegal immigrants
.

That was according to Steve Bannon by the way, not me. Immigration was their number 1 issue - which is why the first thing he attempted to do when he got to office was ban muslims from several countries (before it got blocked by the courts).
For fucks sakes will you stop making such intelligent posts and get back to being a Russian troll. Makes things much easier for me to keep track of! 😜

One other thing that we often miss is that most Republicans are the 'dyed-in-the-wool', 'my daddy and his daddy and pappy drove Chevys so we are a CHEVROLET family!' Republicans.

The RW extremist types are only a small minority of those who voted Republican. But those types don't make for profitable entertainment/TV/podcasts/Vitamin-Supplements/Pillows and Trump Trading Cards so we don't hear much about those people. But they still have a family tradition of voting Republican that makes is their patriotic duty to vote for the Republican candidate.

One of the happiest days of my life, was when Trump beat Hillary, in the 2016 election. IMHO, Hillary, was a very unlikable and arrogant candidate. There was picture of Hillary on TV, supervising, getting her campaign headquarters ready for a big celebration. Lo and behold, Trump wound up defeating Hillary, and becoming the US president in 2016. Hillary wasn't too happy.....LMAO

Just too repeat. I really hope that Trump becomes President in 2024!!
Hillary was for sure unlikeable. Perhaps Bernie (a left wing populist) would have been the right opponent for Trump (a right wing populist). Infact many Bernie supporters voted for Trump out of spite after what the DNC did to discredit Bernie.

Trump getting the nomination in 2024 would be a mistake for Republicans that they wont recover from for another 8 years.

Trump is a salesman...he doesn't only represent white identity politics and racism...he promised a lot to minorities too...he only won because minorities are also sick and tired of dem's promises that we're not delivered...Trump''s downfall was mishandling covid...if there was no covid...he would've beat Joe Biden...I don't think he's a good candidate for 2024...but so is Joe...
What are those Dem promises "that were not delivered"?

Just curious.

Hehehehe!!!.......... You've visited Missouri, right?!

I've got family there. They're the only white people in the town who've ever voted Dem since the town was built in 1855.

Do your homework on Obama's promises...I'm not doing that for you...this isn't a whataboutism because Trump made a lot of promises that aren't even close to being kept....politicians lie...no matter which side you're on...

Hi SC, you do make some excellent points. However, IMHO, a lot of voters don't even pay attention to presidential policies. They vote based on charisma and popularity.
So kind of like electing Prom King and Queen? 😜

You are absolutely right. And that's sad on one hand because it means the best con man may win, not the most qualified.

Thankfully, Biden with his 50 years of geopolitical experience and inclusive coalition-building ability is leading in these unstable, dangerous times. Not a blowhard- con-man fraudster failed real estate and casino magnate whose only negotiation strategy is 'It's MY way or I'll sue you!"

Take Trudeau, as an example. He was a broken down drama teacher, who happened to be a good looking charismatic guy with nice hair. Who also was lucky, that his father was a former PM. IMHO, Trudeau lies all the time, but just manages to barely get by, each election.
Indeed what you say about Trudeau Jr is true. I admit to 'falling' for his calm, well-spoken leadership style that seemed to be principled. When in reality, the 2023 Liberal Party is the same as it was back in the (most notably) Chretien days when the ONLY thing that mattered was staying power.

One of the happiest days of my life, was when Trump beat Hillary, in the 2016 election. IMHO, Hillary, was a very unlikable and arrogant candidate. I did not, and do not like nor respect Hilary Clinton on any level, nor in any way, shape or form. She is a self-serving glory hunter that is indeed unlikeable. But... she would have been competent.

I was as astounded when Trump won as he was! And as I was when NDP'er Bob Rae became Premier!

As much as it would pain me to have seen Hilary bask in her smugness being the President of the USA, I would have preferred her competence at the helm.

But then we get into what I call 'The Politics of Envy' which never leads to anything productive.

Just too repeat. I really hope that Trump becomes President in 2024!!
You have made that clear!

Now, just to repeat my question for the third time (I know you are a Special Needs/Trumptard so I will give you more time to answer! 😜) :

Do you believe Trumps lies Mitch? Or do you still admire and respect him despite his lies on matters of fact?

What evidence do you have of me being from Missouri? SHOW ME! ;-)

But, yeah, some states (and counties) are really that polarized.

IMHO, it won't make much of a difference. The GOP, are definite underdogs going into the 2024 election. Whether it's Trump or DeSantis, it doesn't really matter.
Never underestimate the underdog. The fact that the Trump candidacy was so far past being an underdog that it was a joke was likely the primary reason trump surprised himself by actually winning!

Trump is an incompetent One-Schtick Pony. DeSantis? Have you been to Florida lately?

I also absolutely do not think Biden should run, nor become President again. While I have deep respect for his experience and depth of relevant knowledge that his years have provided, he does seem to be exhibiting increasingly more decline relating to (superficial) mental and physical issues that will certainly not improve with more years. I think the USA, the World and Biden's own legacy will be best served by him graciously retiring from the incredible demands of the office.

I just can't get my head around why it is so hard to find capable, intelligent and charismatic leaders these days... without having to have your counrty invaded!

I will say, at least you have the balls to admit your love for Butterball Don. Just curious, have you ever donated a few coins to the man?
If mitch is Canadian, that would be an illegal campaign contribution from a foreign national, and he could be arrested for it.

And Trump could be elected because of foreign campaign contributions... if his never-ending trail of enablers supporters don't fill up the jails first!

Oh, and take note of the last line! A TRUE Trumper, the guy skimmed off $75,000 of the $100,000 the Russkie donated...only passing along $25k to Donnie! LOL! The grift comes full circle with these Trumptards in their circle jerk!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Political Consultant Sentenced for Scheme Involving Illegal Foreign Campaign Contribution to 2016 Presidential Campaign
A Texas man was sentenced today to 18 months in prison for his role in funneling illegal foreign campaign contributions from a Russian national to a 2016 presidential campaign.

According to court documents, Jessie R. Benton, 45, of The Woodlands, schemed with another political advisor to funnel political contributions to a 2016 presidential campaign from a Russian national seeking to meet and take a picture with the presidential candidate.

Benton arranged for the Russian national – whose nationality Benton concealed from the campaign and the candidate – to attend a campaign fundraising event and to take a picture with the candidate.

As such attendance and engagement required a contribution, Benton caused the Russian national to wire $100,000 to Benton’s political consulting firm to make an illegal foreign contribution to the campaign.

To disguise the scheme, Benton created a fake invoice, which falsely identified the funds as payment for consulting services.

Benton acted as a straw donor and contributed $25,000 of the Russian national’s money to the campaign, falsely identified himself as the contributor, and pocketed the remaining $75,000.

IMHO, both Biden and Trump, have a lot of faults. In the 2020 election, Biden won approx 81 million votes. Trump won approx 74 million votes. Therefore approx 74 million US citizens wanted Trump to be president. That's no small number. I personally don't think Trump is dumb, at all. Trump is very charismatic, as a matter, of fact.

As far as Putin goes, Biden has been a disaster. IMHO, Trump couldn't have done any worse, as far, as handling Putin goes!!

I thought all the right wingers have given up on rump already and are thinking about DeSantis now instead.
Trump has only looked worse out of office, less sane, more corrupt and more petty.

cheapo, but smart move. LOL

I wasn't going to report Mitch I SWEAR I wasn't. I like Mitch, now if it was the angry apple dude, mmmm, maybe....LMAO

I really hope Trump gets the nomination. Trump seems as feisty and controversial, as ever. Whereas DeSantis, seems kind of boring and drab.
I'm actually estatic Butterball Don is running and I'm praying MeatBall Ron announces he is too. I can't wait for the sparks to fly.

Yes, just what the world needs... more controversy and polarization!

Somebody please give The Donald a TV show where he can again bask in satisfying his fans needs for scripted cum unhinged drama.

The world needs sane, principled and pragmatic leaders now.

Yes, but look at all the lies Biden has told, as well. As I said upthread, if Trump was still the president, there wouldn't have been a Putin invasion of Ukraine, in the first place!!

One laptop story against Biden's son. Yet we have numerous court cases and investigations against Trump, including a rape case, fraud cases, the January 6th Insurrection, tax frauds, payment of hush money to a porn star, then his son-in-law getting $2 billion Saudi Money, his own daughter Ivanka getting the 41 Chinese Trademarks at an official Head of State Dinner. Then the obstruction of the Mar-A-Lago Classified Documents Investigation.

Again, if Trump was the President no doubt that Putin would have invaded Ukraine as he is not going to bow to Trump. Tump would then call him a Genius for doing so!!

Sorry, I'm a huge Trump fan. I really hope Trump becomes President in 2024!! I think Biden lies just as much as Trump.
You admit that Trump lies, and that is supposed to be acceptable, especially if they are 36,000 + in his first tenure in office!!
Are those the hallmarks of a good President? But you must now fall in the Cult Follower bracket rather than just a "huge fan".........LOL!!
No way Biden has lied as much as Trump. Biden does make some gaffes, and misstatements, along with some lies. But definitely not on the scale of Trump. That is why the right wing media just focuses on his "senility" and "dementia", while in the past they have desperately tried to cover Trump's lies. This has also been fully documented in Dominion's court case against Fox and Trump's pets like Hannity, Ingraham, and Tucker Carlson!!
