Excuse me Maddam, but I must dispell the illusion that you may be under of Chuck Liddell beating Randy Courture. I love both fighters, but Randy Couture is about as perfect a light-heavy (other than maybe Vanderlei) as you can find. Age will be a factor I agree, but no one comes to the ring in better shape, and he does not get dropped by a punched while he has done this to others. His ground game is sublime which this fight will most definitely go to.v1ctoria said:

I knew Chuck would win this time. It's very very hard to beat a good opponet 2 times in a row. The second battle the loser always has the advantage because of the revenge factor....

Hated seeing Randy go down so fast; the fight was looking like their last match until Chuck rocked him. Never underestimate the striker!
Loved the other matches with the Brazilan Ju-Jitsu tap-outs!
Wicked come back with (Matt Hughes?) when he was in that sleeper, got out of it then took his opponent out with the same move.

Sorry I can't talk my dear lady. This crow is rather chewy. lol I think the fight of the night definitely has to be the Matt Hughes/Frank Trigg fight. Hughes was down and out and seconds away from sure defeat and an ugly beating. But what does he do? Somehow regains senses, lifts trigg up into a belly to belly and makes real quick work of him. I liked Matt Hughes before the fignt but after this fight I am really dumbfounded at the size of his heart.v1ctoria said:well im just a girl but somehow i knew that liddel would win and did he ever. i wish it had been longer but what can you do.
The thumb Randy got in his eye may have affected how this fight ended. Chuck was smart. He threw a hook to the side where Randy was having trouble seeing and stunned him. Then finished him brutally.
It reminded me of when he knocked out Tito Ortiz. Ortiz got an accidental thumb in the eye and within 15 seconds he was unconcious.
BTW, none of these guys can touch the Axe Murderer. Liddel said he wants to fight him and I hope he gets his wish.
French Canadian George St Pierre should get some props also. He looked great in his fight. He also gave Matt Hughes all that he could handle before Hughes got him with an arm bar.

Pretty good fights all in all. The Pride event next weekend will be much better though.

Its all fixed theres no way the Iceman can beat Randy and Ortiz....Liddel couldn't even beat Jackson in Pride...and the Pride fighters are not as good as the UFC fighters...they figure they give the belt to him for now since he's so popular and never been the champion.....
George St Pierre should hold the belt soon that boy has got skills he can punch it out on his feet and has great ground and pound and submission skills...besides his english he should make a good champion and give matt huges a hell of a time in there next match....
