Anyone watching season 2 of Ultimate fighter?

I was always a fan of Matt Hughes, in the ring you see him fight, rarely speak, but as a coach for the blue team this season, is it just me or does he come across as a real dick head? In the promo for next weeks show, my prediction is Matt pushes Jorge a little to far with his taunts and Jorge kicks the shit out of one of Matt Hughes welterweights.

He certainly does come across as a dick that no respect for anyone.

I can understand his points about working through injury but the trash talk seems childish and petty.

That being said he could pound most people so it's gotta be tough to earn his respect.

He is trying to get under the skin of the opposing team and he is classless tactics.

I hope you're right about Jorge, I like him thus far in the show.

Matt Hughes really comes off as an ass in the show.

What really made me lose respect for the guy was when the Canadian contestant, Rob Macdonald was eliminated and he was thanking Hughes and saying his farewells to the team .... Hughes said nothing and had this bored look on his face....Almost like he was saying, "Yeah, Yeah, You lost get the fuck out of here...."

C'mon... The guy was on your team ... The least you can do is thank him and give him a hand shake and pretend that you liked him.
I guess maybe Hugh's personality is the product of the small town farm boy jock mentality.

On the flip side.... Have more respect for Rich Franklin (didn't know who he was until the show...barely watch UFC, only Pride Fighting). Seems like a really nice guy and is quite articulate.

Wonder how good Jorge is....!??!? :D
Its hard with the super short clips of the fighters training to tell how good they are....
I hope Jorge kicks the new guy's ass, Jason Von Flue... He's seems like a real dick as well.

Luke is the wild card this season.....

I half expect they are still getting the legal team together to see if the can show this crazy unibrowed Zen mo-fo's fight.
His fight will go like this...

Luke lying down facing north ;-) Big John McCarthy starts the fight and the opponents head explodes from the Jedi Mind Fuck that Luke uses from the other side of the cage.

Television gold!

I really felt bad for Rob Macdonald. Hughes should never have let him fight. He had a torn labrum which made his left arm useless. hughes gives him some raw raw speech about fighting through the pain. Yeah okay Matt, how about his long term health. Well how is Rob today? He's had three reconstructive surgeries on his shoulder and biceps. He looking at one year of rehab. It's possible he will never fight again. Good call Matt. Hughes questioned his heart and pressured him into doing the fight, that's what bothers me the most.I can only pray that george St.pierre evens things up someday

Fuck....

For some reason I have not been able to locate this week's TUF on the web to download...
Oh well.... Read on Spike that Dana White said it was the most boring fight ever....And if he said that... it must have been boring!!!

With Rob MacDonald....There was not much Hugh's could do....
Eventually he would have to fight so they might as well sacrifice the weak link. If MacDonald thought it was that bad he should have withdrawn from the show entirely ....

What Hugh's lacked was tact and respect for a guy who fought and sacrificed for his team....

I think the Koscheck and Leban fight must be a replay of an older fight.

Maybe from the free Ultimate Fight Night that UFC and Spike Tv held about a month ago....

Shitty about Jorge...
Popped his knee twice during the fight.
Looked like he would have won if he hadn't fucked his knee up. Jason Von Flue was terrible. His toughness actually won him the fight rather than his technique (which was pretty lacking)....

Matt Hughes proved to be a bigger asshole in this episode:
Bitching about showboating and then letting his guys showboat in the challenge...
Egging on Jorge...
Brutalizing his fighters during training...
Playing cards when his fighter was getting ready for the fight...
Doesn't seem to be too concerned about the welfare and well being of his fighters.... What a dick...

Manji are these replays of past events or are there new fights. I don't get spike so I would like to know if it would be worth it to go out to view the program. I told you hughes is a moron. On the other hand I'm quickly becoming a Rich Franklin fan. He comes off as a very likeable guy.

I believe that these are new fights...
The event will be played live on Monday night.

Whether it will be worth to go out and view the program is another thing...
Styles make fights and hopefully the fights will be exciting and be worth the effort of going out to be viewe...

I think there will be around seven fights...
The Loiseau versus Tanner fight could be an entertaining match up.
Loiseau is Canadian!!!

I agree that Hughes is acting like a dick. Like his style or not but Jason beat the Jorge, Hughes just sat the after the fight playing solitare. Then when he had to pick a fighter to go over to Franklin's team, he picks Jason. Good mov ebut then he says that he is the weakest fighter on the team, Hughes reeks of total disrepect.

Although I can't stand Hughes, he might have made the right decision in sending Jason Von Flue to Franklin's team.

Von Flue is terrible. When they showed him hitting the pads he looked like he just started learning how to do MMA a week or two earlier.

I can't believe the guy came from Chuck Liddell's school...he's got very little stand up skills and I'm pretty sure his ground game is almost non-existent too!!!!

The only reason he won was that Jorge popped his knee and couldn't do shit after the first round and that he is pretty tough and managed to outlast (and somewhat outfight) Jorge.

So it might have been the right thing to do for Hughes since Von Flue is probably not going to be able to beat anybody else (unless his future opponents pop their knees or injure themselves in a similar fashion as well...)
