Unsolicited Phonecalls from 'escort services'??

Hey guys,

I've been out of the hobby after my trial run a little while ago....this morning I got a phone call from a blocked name but I have the #....I pasted the number into google and it turned out to be an ad for Toronto College Student Escorts.

This is pretty un-nerving considering I DON'T appreciate un-invited calls from places like this (especially on thanksgiving weekend!)

Any ideas as to where they could get your # from? I have only worked with 1 reputable agency here in Toronto and I trust they wouldn't give out client #...I'm just curious as to where they could have gotten hold of it

Bad idea ...

To give your # to ANY escort, service, etc. This is why the "need your contact info for my own security" has always been a deal breaker for me. By the way, does "TO College Student Escorts" have a website??

What I had happen was one SP who had my number retired and sold her book to another SP who then called my number saying "Hey, I'm 'X' and former SP 'Y' said you were a great client and I'm new to the biz so how about getting together?".

I didn't care as I'm single, but the first SP didn't ask my permission to sell my number to another SP.

They dont' have a website as far as I know, just that 'toronto now' ad or whatever it is.

But I'm glad I didn't use my work blackberry #...this would've been a much more annoying situation.

That's acceptable, but considering I worked with a LARGE well-managed agency, the sp wouldn't have access to my # I don't think.

Whatever the case...lets hope I get a follow up call with an explanation and hopefully an abrupt end to these random calls.
