Hello everyone.

New to your board but been hobbying for some time.

Here are my experiences with viagra. Tried 100mg first, all the normal symtoms mentioned: flushing, headaches, plus my eyes felt like they would pop out. But boy did it work.

These side effects prompted me to cut the pill in half, result is pill still does it's job without the problems. Later cut the 100mg pill to quarters, still works for me. Try if this works for you folks, if it does it'll save you a bundle.

Never experienced the other two drugs.

Does anyone know how restrictive doctors are in despencing perscriptions? I definitely don't want to go to my family doctor (she serves my entire family) and so a walk-in would be my only choice. Are there key things that should be said? thx

Use with caution!

Hotsauce, family doctors know that there is nothing wrong with needed Viagra or similar drugs, and when it is safe for use. Its perfectly normal, and frankly, my advice is you are much safer to use your family doctor. The internet doctors who prescribe this without seeing a person are breaking the law. Not to mention exposing you to some risks.

if you refer to health websites, they list numerous risks of using the drug. If you have heart problems or low or high blood pressure, then you should NOT use Viagra, Cailis, etc. I am not suggesting that it is unsafe, rather that it can be unsafe. I also recall reading that if the erection lasts longer than 5 or 6 hours, that it can cause permanent damage to the penis.

warnings on above site...
If you use nitrate drugs, often used to control chest pain (also known as angina) don’t take VIAGRA. Since VIAGRA also reduces blood pressure, your blood pressure could suddenly drop to an unsafe or life-threatening level.
Remember to discuss your general health status with your doctor to ensure that you are healthy enough to engage in sexual activity. If you experience chest pain, nausea, or any other discomforts during sex or an erection that lasts longer than 4 hours, seek immediate medical help.
Remember to protect yourself and your partner from sexually transmitted diseases.
The most common side effects of VIAGRA® (sildenafil citrate) are headache, facial flushing, and upset stomach. Less commonly bluish vision, blurred vision, or sensitivity to light may briefly occur.

Your doctor will give you a free sample, if you ask. Probably will be four 50 mg tablets of Viagra. Seems that Pfizer is trying to outdo the competition with such promotions.

The men's clinic (younge and Eglington) specializes in these things, and knows more about them than your regular MD.

Cialis...

I have tried both Viagra and Cialis....and I have to say that I have experienced less side effects with Cialis. Cialis also lasts longer. 24 hours later, with stimulation, you can still get an erectiion.

You can also eat and have a drink with Cialis, whereas with Viagra, you may not get a sustained erection if you have an alcoholic drink or have a meal.

However, Viagra will allow me to cum sooner, whereas Cialis takes much longer and is not as satisfying in that regard.

Just my 2 cents worth. I'm going to try Levitra soon to see if it's any different.

I have tried all three drugs, and here are my comments:

1. Viagra....50 mg is the most effective in terms of a "hard" erection, and I have to take it about one hour before the act.
I get severe flushing of the face which I hate, as well as a headache the next morning.

2. Cialis....just as effective as Viagra, but the side-effects last a full two days to some extent, so I have stopped using it. I would only start to use it again if I was sure of having sex repeatedly over a two day period, and in my lifestyle, this is very uncertain.

3. Levitra....produces an erection not quite as hard as Viagra, but effective nonetheless. The main advantage is that with 10mg (I cut the 20mg pill in half with a pill cutter)...the side effects such as flushing are less severe than with 50 mg Viagra. I still get the headache the next morning however.

With all three drugs, I have some vision effects, such as seeing things with a bluish tinge when they are at their peak in my bloodstream, and also some mild pressure in my eyeballs.

Family doctor do not discuss one's details with other member of the family, do they. I got mine from my family doctor.

no, your confidentiality will be respected.

as a long-term user of Viagra - because of the sinus pressure (which in turn cases the headache) try staying well hydrated (a glass of water before going to sleep seems to wipe out the effect )

if you are given the 50 mg tabs in the sample pack, take one first time, if it works well, try cutting the second in half and see how it goes... you may find 25 mg works for you...

I'm reluctant to buy from an online pharmacy. If I get a prescription from a doctor, where's the best/cheapest place to get it filled? Walmart? Shopper's Drug Mart? Drug store in a No Frill's?

drug store in a no-frills charges a 6.54 dispensing fee, typical shoppers drug mart is in the 10.99 - 11.99 range.

but even the pharmacies in Loblaws,/No Frills vary -

Loblaws 104.46 drug cost + 6.54 disp. fee = 110.oo for 8 100 mg pills (i cut them in half)

No Frills @ Dundas/Lansdowne is about 4.00 less (with the same disp. fee)

**** to really save money - if you are going to get the 50 mg dosage prescribed, ask your MD to give you the 100 mg on your script and cut in half 8 * 50 mg is only about 4.00 less than
8 * 100 mg pills and when they are cut in half gives double the "bang" for the buck (bad joke i know) ... the same pricing scheme is in effect with 10 mg cialis and 20 mg cialis and similarly with Levitra too

hope it helps

I have tried viagra several times in 50mg(half of 100mg).The only side-effect is a little bit face flushing.

Usually, I take it one hour in advance. And it can last for 12 hours. It is very easy to get hard with it, and can go the second round after a 5 or 10 minutes break. However, the effect on sensitivity were quite irregular. Sometime, I shoot in 5 minute, sometime, I cannot shoot in the one-hour session. I feel that the boy does not belong to me, no feeling at all.

just tell them that you are having problems getting and maintaining an erection, sometimes losing it in the middle of the act...

they will take a brief med history, and check your blood press, and heart...

be ABSOLUTELY sure to answer ALL the questions about medications, etc totally honestly as these drugs CAN NOT be used by persons taking nitrates in any form (usually for angina and heart conditions) as it may cause a massive drop in blood pressure (and that as we know can be fatal)..

if in reasonable health, you will walk out with a script, and possibly a freebie sample pack of 4 * 50mg pills...
