Is Victoria on a break? Does anyone know? I tried to contact her before Xmas and couldn't get ahold of her and haven't seen anything on the board about her lately. Just wondering.

I have spoken to Victoria and she is back. She went away for Christmas but returned the week of New Years. The best way to get hold of her is to call her or e-mail her from her site - www.abachelorsdreamatvickies.com

BTW, I have a BB and really like it (7130e), so I'm not bashing it at all. If you have a need for it, which I'm sure a woman like Victoria does, then it's a great way to make the best of 'dead time' - ie: deal with emails while you're waiting for a friend, etc. The calendar will be a boon for anyone with a busy schedule.
NSA liking it also has to do with no cameras - RIM seems to follow the corporate guidelines in that the cameras shouldn't exist. I saw that even Roxxxannes in Kitchener had a sign outside their door stating - NO CAMERA PHONES.
Also, v4 of the BES allows for wireless sync'ing of data on the handheld. BIG help in the world of dumb/lazy end users, in a corporate environment. In the past, if a sales guy didn't back up or sync his blackberry (or any other pda), and lost his device, all those new contacts/appointments/tasks/notes were gone. That's now changed in that when Mr. Joe Sales enters a new contact, it's copied to the Echange server the next time the device has signal. Keep in mind this is applicable only when in a corporate/gov't environment that has it's own BES.
Blackberry Devices do contain a great deal of functionality. Any PDA is a battery hog. As long as Victoria doesn't rely on it too much, it's a great tool.

I actually find that using a bluetooth speaker helps my blackberry with it's battery life. My comment about the BBs being weak is in comparison to standard cell phones. I have to charge mine every night and have a car charger with me whenever in the car. Standard cell phones can go for days, even week+ without recharging. Not a chance of that on the BB.Indiana said:
