It is legal. Regulated, but legal.

Some of the higher end places ( no pun)advertise in the hotel room binders.

lots of variety there, all the worlds food groups in quantity.

I haven't been to Australia in years, but I can speak for hobbying in New Zealand. It's extraordinary, legal and great fun.
