Wait 2-3 years for RIM to stop being profitable then K/W economy will drop by half.

Kitchener /Waterloo (K/W) is well worth a consideration. We have a world class high tech community (RIM, Open Text, Raytheon, etc), world class universities ( U of W, Laurier etc). The area is growing, with many new residential developments, home ownership
is still affordable for the middle class, shopping malls, cinemas and a good number of upscale restaurants. Depending on what type of business you’re in maybe it’s worth a consideration. Oh, BTW……….many very hot SP’s, too.

That's an interesting comment, and probably a good idea. Find a place going through hard times (still theoretical in K/W's case) and buy cheap land. Windsor, a nearby city that just failed economically, is likewise poised to recover and excel. Might be a good time to move to Windsor, right across the river from another investment opportunity, lol.

But seriously, http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/windsor/story/2011/04/18/wdr-city-of-the-future-financial-times.html

I read that article as well and would be interested in what the economic boom is going to be. We're a third of the way through 2011 and what's happening? KW isn't geographically close to Windsor, London is between those cities.

Windsor is in a major snow and tornado belt. Check the MLS housing is affordable, but there are alot of potential issues and condos really aren't that cheap there with the fees, etc.

moving soon and having a very hard time deciding on the new place to move to.. basically i want to make sure the place has a downtown area with theatres, women, malls, stores etc. not saying i want to live right in the downtown core, 20 min drive to get to the downtown area is fine.. and the other thing is: escorts, im very over weight so escorts are a part of my life.

i see theres lots of options, like waterloo, kingston, oshawa, barrie, woodbridge, london ontario, etc.? even montreal and ottawa im contemplating.

can someone help me out please, thx
I would add Hamilton to that list. Housing is cheap and some parts of downtown are OK.

edit. the advantage of the Alberta cities (Calgary is far and away the better of the two in terms of sophistication and geography) is that the MPs are all licensed by the cities. Thus FS is the norm for MPAs in Alberta - there is no guessing game, the MPAs are SPs.
Really ?!

Great thing about Hamilton is that love is always around the corner, if you got 20 bucks or a vial of crack. Just don't discus the particulars here.

[I actually like Hamilton, I tease because I love]

If OTOH having quality and good choice in escorts close by in a factor, Montreal and Toronto are really the best options. I have been scanning the regional subboards in Terb and reading Merb for a while. Other locations have escorts of quality but nothing near the different options.

If I had 50 million dollars to blow on hookers [Please lottomax] those are the only two cities on the map for me. If you like ethnic diversity, there goes Montreal. Yes there is some, but not much, off hand I don't think I've ever seen a single Oriental, Indian [east] or Black girl on the big league agencies, but that could be the senility talking, and pickings are slim otherwise. So if that is a factor, and it is for me, Toronto truly is the good.

I have lived in both Toronto and Vancouver.
Vancouver is BY FAR the more desirable location.
I plan on retiring there particularly to Vancouuver Island in the Comox/Qualicum area.
Most beautiful part of Canada IMHO.
