So now that summer is here and shorts are regular vacation wear, at least in the US, should a gentleman wear pants or are shorts perfectly OK to wear to an in-call with a smart short of course? Does it matter?

As long as your shorts have deep pockets, I'm sure the SP won't care.

Hahahha. I have never cared what my clients wear- provided it looked clean. And that is more because I want my client to be clean.

I feel like an SP who makes comments on their clients' attire will get lots of bad reviews and not be an SP for long.

My summer uniform consists of Walmart cotton shorts, Mark's 50 wash T shirts, Crocs, and a TSC Farm Boy ball cap.
I am spotlessly clean and will wash again before starting if shower facilities are available.
Never had an issue.
