Webcams

I am thinking of buying a webcam. Any advice on what to look for. How much is the minimum I should spend?

I use a Mac Powerbook and the options seem to be limited to either very expensive (for iSight camera) to quite cheap, about 25$ US for a Genius webcam.

Any input would be welcome

Logitech webcams are cheap and very good in quality. You can pick one up for no more than $50... if ya do... ya gotta give Gawd a free pass to your shows!

If you're buying it to do webcasts on the internet then buy a high-resolution webcam.

If you're buying it for security then make sure it has a motion detector ( and preferably with auto-email sender)

Thanks fpr the input. Yeah, I really do want the iSight as I realize that it is a good camera. It is just kind of expensive right now. Pehaps I should wait and save up a bit for it...

I don't know if it works with a Mac, but I just bought a Logitech Orbit, and I'm really enjoying it. People I've cammed with say that the quality is really good, and it was only about $150 CAD.
