Your body converts it to glucose causing a spike in blood sugar. To avoid this cook the potato then put it in the fridge until it gets cold and reheat it. The cooling and reheating process makes it into a resistant carbohydrate and it doesn't cause a spike. What's wrong with mash potato if no butter? I thought potato was ok (if boiled) or is white potato an absolute no no for weight loss/ carb deficit foods

Same as any potato. Cool it first and reheat to turn it into a resistant carbohydrate. Same with rice. It's an east hack with great benefits. What about sweet potato? I thought sweet potato if boiled or put in the oven, is okay for weight loss/ carb deficit

Fiber is technically a carbohydrate, but your body doesn’t digest it like sugars or starches meaning Konjac is calorie free.

I use whole wheat pasta that will last for days. Cool it quickly after coated with olive oil to prevent sticking.
I mix it with Konjac

They are not as good as real pasta because of texture so I mix Konjac with refridgerated pasta cooked al dente (post 25). Easy peasy lemon squeasy as pasta will last a week and you have dinner in 5 minutesI have a friend who competes in bodybuilding when she was on prep week I was over at her place and tried these as she swears by them - something about them I couldn’t stomach well even when it was drenched in sauce the texture and taste just didn’t appeal to me![]()
So this tomato time of year I love to make clubhouse and BLT sandwiched. I'm otherwise not one to like white bread, it makes the best Club/BLT when toasted.Another weight loss hack is don't eat stupid food. Don't eat cookies, cake and candy. Don't eat white processed bread. Don't load up on white rice and mashed potatoes. Don't eat chips and cheeses. And for God sakes loose the soft drinks and beer.
A good baked Russet potato, eaten with it's skin on, butter and sour cream is actually very nutritious. The fat in the butter and sour cream buffer the glycemic shock insulin response. The skin has many minerals and vitamins. And the fiber of the skin also slows the breakdown of the carbs. The calcium in the sour cream is well absorbed. What's wrong with mash potato if no butter?
