I wonder if they have a couple on the space station?

I would try one out if I had the opportunity, however I am not about to blow $7,000 + on one. Maybe I will rent one or if someone has one PM me. I'll pay you $20 to have a go at it.
Ewwww! Major ewwww!

Well it's nice to know that you gents won't kick us real women to the curb for some silicone and metal!

Of course these sex dolls are not for everyone. The real thing IS better. But consider this.

There are men out there who feel they are too socially introverted to talk to a woman much less an escort and have not had much sex in their life as a result. There are men who drive trucks for weeks and don't get any action. Actually I know of someone who knows a fisherman who has been out at sea for 2 years. He didn't have any physical contact from the opposite sex for 2 years. Sexual frustration doesn't begin to describe it. Perhaps this doll would have satiated his appetite. This could be good for THOSE guys but not everyone. I agree this should be used as a tool for masterbation and relief when there aren't any other options. Definitely NOT meant to be a replacement but it has some benefits. However I do agree with the creepy factor! If I went to a guys house and I opened his closet and one of these fell out I'd be soooo creeped out. Lmao no questions asked I would just leave!

Eventually something will come along good enough to replace the real thing for many people. Logically it wouldn't really cause much harm to society....
There will be plenty of people who think it does cause harm to society, the same way plenty of people think the sex industry currently warps men's relationships with women. Personally, I don't know if having what amounts to a personal, inhuman sex slave would be positive or negative; it would lie in your ability to separate fact from fiction I think. My hope is that it would help people, especially the introverted, to relieve stress and unhealthy appetites. Regardless, we're pretty far out from this being mainstream.

There was a doc made a few years ago called "Lars and the Real Girl" which detailed an introverted guy's obsession with his life sized sex doll. He essentially fell in love with it and started to treat it as a human.

Imagine if the doll was created in your image.

On a serious note though, would you partake in a threesome with a guy and love doll?

Interesting. There's also a few mainstream flicks that cover the topic, like "Her" (who wouldn't fall in love with Scar-Jo's voice?) and maybe even the new Blade Runner (to a small extent).

It's only a matter of time before one of these dolls charges its owner with sexual assault.

I don't know if he's thinkiing of another movie or making a joke, but Lars and the Real Girl is not a documentary, it's a drama-comedy starring Ryan Gosling, who also starred in Blade Runner 2049. Dude just has a thing for artificial women I guess.

As a scientifically-minded and unemotional person I have often reviewed the Real Doll website (and their competitors). Back when I was single I was seriously considering investing in one despite the $7-10K price tag because at the end of the day, these near-realistic simulacrum would allow you to experience pretty close to the sensation of intercourse whenever you wanted (I've used a Fleshlight in the past and it felt pretty darn good), HOW you wanted (no begging for a particular position), for as long or brief as you wanted, with no risk of disease (provided you aren't sharing... eww), pregnancy (no being on the hook for child support), criminal risk (he said/she said harassment charges), or financial risk to you (i.e. divorce / spousal support).

I think for a small subset of the population that can't obtain companionship via conventional means (e.g. those with social anxiety problems, the disfigured/disabled, etc.), or those so jaded by past bad experiences (divorced) this might well be a harmless solution, especially as they get more lifelike. I just started watching Westworld and believe me: if they ever come up with lifelike warm sex bots that can walk and talk in my lifetime, I'm buying one (even if I'm still taken) for the variety/fantasies it will offer.

Given the seemingly-widening divide between the genders on some core issues and the more self-centered path society is taking, I wouldn't be surprised if we wound up with a separated society where biological men and women only coupled for procreation purposes... Sure there are the rare Hallmark exceptions of nice people genuinely finding love/happiness together, but there are far more people just hacking it for the sake of keeping the peace than actual love/devotion. We've been sold marriage as a false bill of goods: what you supposedly get is companionship, but often at the expense of what you want - freedom to do as you please.

So bring on the sex bots I say, and to each their own. More options to explore one's sexuality in a safe manner is better than more restrictions.

I wonder if it self cleans.
It does NOT... They come with thorough cleaning/maintenance instructions. Certain Realdoll models even have removable vaginal and mouth inserts to make it easier for cleansing post-use. Mild soap and proper drying is all it requires if memory serves correctly from their factory website / FAQ... For the ones where the vagina isn't removable, you obviously need to either get it into the tub or a large wash basin I would guess...

Owning a real doll is a big investment. You will need to buy:

* Wheelchair: It will be much easier to mover her around your residence
* Clothes: You will want to dress her up for different occasions
* Makeup: Will add a nice touch and much needed change
* Friends: Chances are if you are really into your fantastic plastic gal, you will want to buy another to keep her company
* Shower: You will need to build a new shower with hooks and chairs to accommodate her
* Computer/Ipad/Cell: She will eventually need a device to communicate with you
* TV: in the event that she does not like to watch your shows (sports, guy movies, etc.), she will need to have her own TV to view her shows
* Shoes: Women, whether they are fake or real, will need at least 50 pairs of shoes
* Purses: See "shoes" above
* Birth Control: It will be challenging to get a prescription for her, so you may have to hit the black market to get birth control pills. That is, unless you are looking to start a family then good luck with that
* Family: Conduct a background check as you do not want to have her real doll brother (drunken welfare model) show up at the door one day. Also, beware of the psycho mother in-law model
* Jewellery: Special occasions (Valentines, birthdays, anniversaries, mothers day) come fast and quick
* Food: Some girls have particular tastes and if she fancies lobster, caviar and fine dining, be prepared to have a large grocery/restaurant bill
* Activities: Many love dolls enjoy spending time at the gym. Yoga and mediation is a favorite

I kind of got off track here so ravencroft is correct, you may need a large wash basin.

I don't know, sooner or later Skynet will gains self-awareness and then payback time as your sexy doll becomes an angry, vindictive terminator

Ohh, to be honest, I was always against using sex dolls because it seems to me that this is nonsense and that it is better to resort to masturbation in this case.Nevertheless, everyone has their own opinion on this matter and I will not argue with anyone. But despite this, I myself love to use different sex toys during sex. I very often order various toys from the delicia store and this helps to diversify our sex life. By the way, there are sex dolls in this store, but I will never order them)
