Can you put a figure on it? $200,000? I sometimes think of the money that I have put into this hobby, but I think it was worth it. Personally, I would do it again.
Without a doubt dating my long term girlfriend in university. Without a doubt..3 years. I would have died for her. Wanted to marry her and live happily ever after.
She was the love of my life.
When she dumped my ass, I almost lost it...maybe I did lose it.
I pined for her for 10 years and no woman could compete with her ghost. From a love and relationship and family point of view my "prime years" were waisted with longing and obsession. At the time she dumped me, my friend said to me, "I think God is doing you a favour". My friend and friends were absolutely correct. But I didn't see it till years later.
For 10 years, maybe more, she was all I thought about.
Those "lost years" had profound and long reaching impact on my life.
1. Marrying a narcissist, that cost me 500K, more than every SP I have ever been with times 10 or so.
2. Allowing the divorce from same to get to me so badly I put on weight again after working so hard to take it off.
Not ending a serious relationship/engagement when I first knew it was truly over.
I've made others, but hindsight is always 20/20. Someone once told me to never regret anything that once made you happy, and have to say that is a good way to look at the past.
My accountant asked if I wanted to invest in a search engine company back in 1988 or 89' and it was $30K, not a lot of money really, but being young and naive back then, $30K was a lot of money, and wtf was a search engine anyway.
Turns out to be a company called "Google"
Second biggest mistake, getting my ex pregnant not once but twice
The shit they don't teach you in school, fuck me if we could all do it over again
1 - Dumping an ex-gf because i thought i could do better. Turned out i couldn't.
2 - Kept playing the stock market after i was up over a million bucks. Lost everything and then some.

Sorry, that's not possible. Google didn't exist until 1995. Something else maybe, not Google. Not Yahoo either, not til the mid 90s. The web didn't exist until 1989 in theory and reality until the early 90s.
- Never learning how to play a musical instrument. I'd love to know how to play the drums or electric guitar!
- Being too picky for the women I've always chased after. People always tell me to not be so choosy and try to date a few and see how it goes. The more the better. But my heart is always set on one woman I know at a time!
Not buying Microsoft back in '86 just after it went public. I received an inheritance and I understood the unique position the company was in. I also remember reading that young Chairman Bill would regularly work until 3 am. I even thought to myself at the time that anyone who chooses to make that kind of effort will not let circumstances get the better of him.
Going for Masters and Ph.D. Wasted my life for 7 years to earn those degrees that only disqualified me for most of the jobs (overqualified) and now I have to work for another 15 years (instead of would have been 8) to retire with a relatively comfortable income. It increased my income only slightly (maybe 20% at most) but caused a lot more responsibilities and work related stress!!!!! What a mistake!!!!!!!!. If you are young and studying at college or university (as some providers I met were) then go to workforce right after Bachelor's degree. Graduate degrees in this country don't pay off.
