Its Countdown to Christmas! Just a few more days.

I love the time of year, and really enjoy the classic Holiday music. But one band that stands aside, which not everyone is familiar with is the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.
I've seen then many times live over the years, and love the shows. I'll share three videos. Though the studio versions sound better, the live ones give a better feel of the shows.

I'll kick it off, with the first video/song I ever heard from them.

Christmas Eve/ Sarajevo [Studio Sound]

Love this song! Merry Christmas!

Downloaded a 4 cd set of his greatest hits it's basically what I've been playing on my ipod since Christmas.

Have you forgotten that once we were brought here, we were robbed of our name, robbed of our language. We lost our religion, our culture, our god...and many of us, by the way we act, we even lost our minds.

At 5:34 is probably the most sampled drum break in hip hop history. Clyde Stubblefield's claim to fame.

Here is your shirt, now as much as I love to see an artist come out with new stuff, I can't help but love old school.

Poison is their signature no doubt. One of my fav cd's of all time is WBBD Boot City: The Remixes. Thanks for the link on the shirt, that's awesome :)

Taking some time to reflect on a long day and the loss today of someone close.
He was a Veteran of WW2, and I'll miss him so much. Just to hear the Poem In Flanders Fields, one more time from him.

Sorry to hear about your loss Kathleen :(
My dad is a retired major I've met many WWII and Korean vets over the years. To listen to their stories it's so surreal. I get chills just thinking about it.
I'm not much into metal but for me Metallica is the gold standard. And that video reminds me I have to really watch Saving Private Ryan again. Probably in my top 3 war movies of all time.

My dad never talked about his war experiences, but I knew all about it from looking at him. He had almost no teeth left, had to consume his food with the use of a full denture.

When we immigrated to Canada, he left his uniform behind.

My condolences not so BadKat.
