It depends on your demographics.
Merc to old school good ole boys means Mercury, Ford Division.
Today Merc refers to Mercedes.

Gynecologist in private practice - not affiliated with OHIP or any hospital. My practice is generally restricted to women aged 24-35. My fees are very reasonable.

I've rarely asked clients what they do for a living unless they mention work or it comes up in some way. The answer is often "I'm in business" or "I'm in computers"
But I've been surprised how many guys have told me exactly what their job was when I first met them.
I'm curious if those clients who are involved in an uncommon job field will be more reluctant to disclose what area they work in, either to an SP or on TERB, out of concern about being outed.Cool!

As for myself, I will only disclose that I work in clinical research (as I've indicated before in past posts).
