What Is Happening With This Board??

Okay, in the last few weeks, there's been an incredible deterioation in the quality of posts on this board. I'm talking specifically about the Lounge. We all know there's a competing board in the picture, and that many of the profilic posters have wandered over there, and as much as I hate the shillers and other such things, that other board is FUN. There's not the endless misogyny or bitching about race/height/cultural stereotypes. It's sickening, really. I never thought I'd want alot of the posters who left back, for a bunch of reasons, but now I actually do. Where's the fun, the jokes, the vibe. TERB has always has more than its fair share of misogyny and bitter lonely men blaming everything but themselves for their lack of happiness and taking out their issues on women on SPs, but before it seemed that it would be isolated to a few posts or threads. Now it seems like it's everywhere. Who cares whether some women like black guys or Asian guys? Who cares whether cute-bald is a short pathetic loser? Who cares that the fact that women can actually have standards pisses a lot of guys off?
Life is short (in the case of baldy very short) and why waste time bitching on a hobbying board about your lot in life

I'm sure this will be deleted, and I'm certainly not saying this applies to everyone, but honestly, this place is losing the fun aspect to it real quickly

maybe the lounge is deteriorating, but the incall review section has some solid info and that where most of my time is spent and since joining terb, the quality of sp's i have met is increasing substantially... Just avoid the BS threads I guess until the mods clean it up.

Yeah I agree with Silver Stick, and I was mainly referring to just the Lounge. The incall/outcall section and other sections are fine, at least in my book.

It's not quite that simple as some threads start off fine, but morph into something totally different, yet you're into it hoping it will change back.

it seems to be a cycle on terb that every few years the board hits a rut and then rejuvenates itself. i think that some people take themselves to seriously on this board at times. they either need to have a wake up call or reach their own saturation point.

I agree. Since the new year it's been a lot more newbies complaining and acting like total asses. Can't really stop that unless this site started charging everyone and not just the ladies. I agree the other site is fun (been on it since it started), but it's all in part of the low member count. It'll grow to a half decent Terb size and then do the same thing. Their promotions and contest are a neat twist.

Yes, I tend to "cherry pick" my threads now. For example, I skipped the "Lilo Jail" thread altogether. On the other hand, please let me know immediately if there are nude pics of Lilo in that thread. I do have my standards, you know.

Unfortunately some threads sometime deteriorate into insults and offensive remarks...but I believe that through TERB we can engage in thoughtful conversation. Many topics are taboo in the realms of people's lives and they are unable to discuss them there. That leaves TERB as an option. You have to also realize that guys don't talk about issues affecting them as much as women do, so there is no outlet there. Sometimes things are not phrased in the most eloquent way, but at least viewpoints are expressed and bantered about. There are still plenty of jokes and silly threads.
P.S. I notice you have less than 150 posts in 7 years of being a member...that is less than 25 posts a year...if you feel that something is lacking, why not create a thread and discuss it?
