I liked that one car chase segment of the Bond film (Roger Moore) where it was filmed Down South involving that southern red neck fat cop (who subsequently played in the next Bond film in Bangkok. That was funny.

Chase

Bullit - for those of you who've never been in San Francisco, the hills aare extremely steep. Even driving slowly, when you go "over the edge" of a hill heading downhill, the world disappears; all you see is sky out in front of you - and that's at 10 mph. Maybe some street scenes are on the net?

If you visit SFO, rent a car and drive downhill at, say, 25 mph. See what it feels like.

The freeway scene in Matrix 2 is just cheesey CGI. Bullit blows away any car sequence that I have ever seen. Remember, there was no CGI then, everything was shot as its seen on real SF streets. The chase scene in the French Connection was shot on a sunday morning in new york without permits with a few pay-duty cops to control traffic. It must of sucked to be the location manager on that job.

That was a boat chase in "Live and Let Die" with Sgt. J.W. Pepper, Loisiana State Police. "By the power, invested, in me, I hereby comadier this vehicle and all those "parsons" within it." The second film is "Man With the Golden Gun"

But the third Moore film is my favourite car chase scene of all time: "The Spy Who Loved Me" and the white Lotus Espirit that eventually turned into a submarine. Wanted one ever since and I'm going to have one.

Watched the Ronin car chase in the tunnel and thought to myself, that matches the description of where Lady Di was killed. Reference to the pillars being....death traps. Yes. Same tunnel. Filmed there one year later. Would hate to hit one of those things. Look what you might call, hazardous.
Although they are all great, my favorite two are Bullit and the Seven ups. Because they are of a time and a place when I was young. Nostalgic for those days gone by.
William Hickman was the driver in Bullit and the French Connection.

Gone in 60 seconds with Nicolas Cage comes to mind. Last chase scene, Cage stealing the mustang, Eleanor.
