i think wesley snipes went to prison for a while for tax evasion.
Well it says on Wikipedia that his jail time ends at July 19/2013. They can always replace him with somebody else if he does not want to do it again.

Just to name a few. These are animated Super hero movies. I enjoy these a lot more because the artists and story tellers have so much more freedom when creating an animated movie. Live action has it's limits.

Batman: Under the Red Hood
Dark Knight Returns Part 1 and 2
Green Lantern: Emerald Knights

Nolan's take on the Dark Knight has been the closest so far in capturing the Frank Miller Batman atmosphere.
As for other notable comic-based films:

  • Dredd 2012 (not the Stallone craptacular take)
    The Watchmen
    Kick-Ass
    Hellboy
    Captain America
    Thor
    Men In Black

and i am kinda desperate for a dark tower trilogy. sam elliot as roland and bradley cooper as eddie dean.
I had read the first three books but after searching for the fourth, not knowing when or if it was coming, got tired waiting and after a few years I gave up and lost interest.

I would probably still enjoy seeing how it translates to screen, but they appear to have had commitment problems from the studios over the past few years.

I have heard rumors that the want to make a trilogy and hbo show for between movies to focus on the graphic novels while the movies are based on the books.

I think Iron Man beats them all, maybe, cuz The Dark Knight with Christian Bale is awesome.

I'm an old fan of Superman, so I can't wait to see the new film.

I agree with respect to Nolan's Dark Knight.

Hey, I LOVED The Watchmen. Thanks for reminding us.
