I started streaming Sex Education, the strategy was clear from the start: a show about teenagers 180 degrees from Euphoria. I never knew that Gillian Anderson could be so fuckin funny, totally unlike the buttoned up Scully in The X - Files. She kept me watching until I got to this epic scene...the reason why I love nerd girls.

Watching Season 2 of Ted Lasso. So far not as good as season 1.
Foundation has been promising so far.
Looking forward to Cowboy Bebop.

For less than $100 recently got the full Sopranos series DVD box set from Amazon. Just as good the second time around, with the benefit of seeing how the early episodes set up the later episodes, having already seen all of them when they originally aired.

Also watching the new "Scenes From A Marriage" series, which is just ok, and Season 3 of American Crime Story about "Slick Willy" Clinton and Monica Lewinski, which seems well done so far.

Can't wait for the new seasons of Ozark and Succession!

I'm watching, Y The Last Man-it's on the FXNow channel on cable tv. Good action and funny, with Diane Lane too. And I love Mr. In Between, about a hitman in Australia. It's violent, funny and dramatic. It's on FXNow as well.

Gillian Anderson is at the height of her powers, she may not want to play the repressed Scully. I haven't seen The Crown but critics say that her portrayal of Margaret Thatcher is as good as Meryl Streep's. As Sex and Reproduction Therapist Jean Milburn in Sex Education, her character is adored.

Speaking of Sex Education: AJoy was the breakout actor of 2020, Mimi Keene (Ruby Matthews) is the breakout of 2021.

Ready or Not generated $58 million of pure profit, I thoroughly enjoyed it. That put Samara Weaving in high demand including working with Keanu Reeves in his latest Bill and Ted film.

I was wondering why she got so thin, at one time she was all hips and boobs. Who carries Hulu shows in Canada, Disney +. Currently all the FX shows are on Hulu, not sure what it's known as in Canada?

Been watching old reruns of Death In Paradise on BBC One. Terrible plots but the Caribbean music, scenery including the girls makes it worthwhile. LOL.

Started on My Name. Netflix made Kdrama. They tend to be pretty good. They are shorter, don't have that filler to cram in 8 hours of story into 16 hours and boobies!
Be Yourself, being a Cdrama it isn't very good but I got nothing else to watch.
Gave up on Princess Cinderlla. Like pretty much all JDramas it started well but quickly developed this depressive vibe. It isn't even the story line, no wonder they love killing themselves.

I tried watching Schitt's Creek. I realized why I didn't watch it in the first place - I can't stand Chris Elliot.

In other news, Ins Choi has a problem. The Kim's Convenience spin off, Strays, got annihilated on the IMDB audience score 4.5/10 Ouch! Shannon Ross is the only character that Choi doesn't own, the CBC decided to cash in with her own series. Unfortunately for them Michelle Power never evolved the character beyond airhead phase, it got destroyed by Kim's fans.

Like Simu Liu, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee career is taking off, his role in The Mandalorian is to be expanded. He's also been invited to a Mexican barbacoa in La Paz. They got a big kick out of his Mexican Burrito.

While The Squid Game is getting all the attention, another Netflix show is getting raves: Maid. I will probably watch it first since it features the amazing Margaret Qualley. I prefer human interest stories over kill count shows.
