I recently subscribed to the U.S. version of NetFlix (I use Blockless in order to get U.S. NetFlix). Some of the movies/TV shows I have seen were great, but most were mediocre. Unfortunately, some of the films that I want to see are not available on NetFlix, even the U.S. version. Still, can anyone recommend some TV shows and movies to watch on NetFlix?

Dude, there is tons of content to be watched on netflix. If you can't find anything you like there then I don't know what to tell you....

I haven't even gotten the american netflix because I am still trying to go through the Canadian content lol

I recently watched:

- Life of Pi (which I didn't get a chance to see in theaters and I wanted to check out)
- Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood (I like anime and I had started watching this in Japanese with English subs but never had a chance to finish so I picked it up again on Netflix)
- War of the Arrows (some Korean movie about a bad ass archer dude against a bunch of Mongol bad ass archer dudes)
- Breaking Bad Season 5 (I don't have cable at home and I don't have the time to be downloading shit off the internet so I never seen it before lol)

I have watched many great movies on Netflix, have watched every documentary, almost every single Ted Talk, and have enjoyed most of the content, the only thing I am looking forward to watching from American Netflix is the Starship Troopers animated series (the name escapes me now) which is only available in the American Netflix....

Enjoy,

Don Ron :)

I loved the show House of Cards, great stuff.
Rock on! How could I have forgotten the Netflix Original content, yes House of Cards was SUPERB, I just love Spacey....

The other original content is pretty good too, the werewolf show [Hemlock Grove] was alright (I discovered a new crush while watching it, the Asian chic from Toronto... forgot her name but she looked great in her nude scenes) and I think there is that other show Orange is the new Black or something like that which I will check out soon.

I saw a mermaid show there too but that is clearly targeting teenage girls or prepubescent females for sure lol I started watching one episode and almost threw up!

Enjoy!!

I saw Aeon Flux which is an okay Sci Fi thriller. But what makes it worth watching again is the tight outfit that Charlize Theron wears and the many scenes where to get to see her great ass.

BBC's Sherlock (you can thank me later)

Sons of Anarchy

Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia (for comedy)

The first two seasons of Battle Start Galactica are lots of fun (It's like Game of Thrones in Space)

If you like sci fi, they've got a bunch of decent shows like Eureka, Warehouse 13, Alphas and Fringe.

There's also all the original content mentioned above. If you like B movies, they've got pretty much every cheap and cheesy horror and martial arts movie ever made - great for insomniacs who like some decent pulp to fall asleep to when they need a distraction for their brain.

If you like documentaries:

Gasland
World Water Wars
Tapped
Generation X
American Drug Wars - the last white hope

were all pretty-awesome.

I havent been on there for awhile - and I have not logged onto the US version but plan to - but those were all great documentaries that I have watched on the Canadian Netflix.

I had a chance to catch up on some nice tv series like Tudor and Heroes last year. Then this year we have Lost and just finished watching Dexter ( up to S6). Those were on Canadian Netflix.

Do yourself a favour. Cancel netflix now. It is so effing addictive. I start watching something and before I know it, 10 hours have passed. It has reduced my productivity to zero. I don't even have time to hobby anymore.

Just think of the money you are saving by not hobbying anymore for only $8.00 per month.

I just watched:

KICK ASS - A real life super hero movie, funny as hell. I think the sequel is already in theaters too.

BAD ASS - Danny Trejo plays a senior citizen who becomes a vigilante. Damn what a good movie this turned out to be, totally exceeded my expectations!

Stay Gold,

Don Ron :)
