I particularly liked the silence between the songs.
I sorta liked the part when the tone arm picked up and the record was silent.

My fav's are similar, including the above

- Smooth Criminal
- You Are Not Alone
- She's out of My Life
- Earth Song
- They Don't Care About Us

Honest, I stopped buying MJ's music after his Dangerous CD, and rediscovered his later songs ( the ones from his History CD ) while traveling in Central America only a few years ago via watching his MV's at local bars. They Fucking love him down there.

So what you're saying is the best selling album of all time is bad taste?
Well, I'm a music lover. So I do appreciate what artists bring to the music world and their genre. Which means anything from The Beatles to MJ to Tupac to Metallica.

I turned away from MJ when he started getting wierder and wierder. Yes, he was wacko, but he is still MJ. I do appreciate what he had done for the music world, and I think it was a lot.

Thank you for saying what I wanted to say.

papasmurf seems to have a particular dislike for MJ. I respect that, but why post in a thread that is for the purpose of honoring a great artist? Sure I think he did some 'dumb' things with little boys, but I'm a big fan of his music. I separate the two and also have separate my opinion. As Dave Chapelle said when asked about letting his kids spend the night with MJ, "FUCK NO," but letting them listen to his music, "He made Thriller..."q

I never went for disco, preferring Rock, Jazz, Blues, R&B, Folk and Bossa Nova.
However musically MJ was a true superstar in every sense of the term ranking just under Elvis and the Beatles. True his personal live was a mess but so was Elvis and don't forget Jerry Lee Lewis who was fond of bedding 14 yr old girls. Sure there were other stars flawed also however the fact remains much of MJ music was extremely well done and as a 'stage showman', MJ ranks on par with Elvis.

Who cares what haters like papasmerf think. The world made its decision in record sales and more. The guy was a serious talent.

So I guess you like Pantera as well then? Dimebag rated top 10 guitarists in the world, sales rivaling Madonna (Who did a tribute to him btw) RRHF inductee. Voted one of the best rock bands in the world by Revolver and Guitar Player Magazine. Or do you just call people who don't like what you like haters?

Yes, I do like Pantera - aside from the fact that they were posers (started off as a glam band before following the trend set by bands like Metallica into harder music). Still, I'm a fan.

Btw, Pantera's sales do NOT rival Madonna's. Not even close. Not in the same ballpark, not in this same league at all.

That's a question you should ask those who say liking Jackson's music means you have no taste in music.

They made 1 count em 1 glam album. Metallica is thrash Pantera is Groove big difference (like C tuning and drop D tuning). Would you like me to post some tabs so you can tell the difference? Comparing the two is like comparing Sabbath to Cephalic Carnage!

Yes Pantera's sales do rival Madonna's.

You sound like a producer to me.

The point is that they went from glam to metal. Posers.

This is laughable. I don't know where you're getting your information from.

Madonna has sold in excess of 200 million studio albums. Pantera is small fry compared to Madonna. That's a fact.

Show me otherwise. I'll wait LOL.
