I was looking at a job desription seeking an intern. They require candidates to have a four/five year degree and two years of experience.

I thought an intern was someone who was still in college and working towards their degree. Do you think their use of the term 'intern' is to suggest that the position has a low wage; even though they are clearly looking for someone who has completed their education and has experience.

Thanks.

An intern, I think, is someone who is supervised and basically acts as "in trainning" with no guaruntee of a job after the intern period...

An intern is someone employers underpay and overwork; usually someone that needs the experience or doesn't know any better.

The employer who posted that add is either stupid or is in a business that it's very difficult to get into.

The poster did not say what sector the job was in, but it seems that it is still a buyers market out there. So the employer may not be stupid, since they may well be able to get overqualified people for entry level positions.
