I remember winning $50 on a scratch ticket once. That's about it.

My biggest jackpot was when I went to Vegas for the first time. Triple diamond/Triple diamond/seven for $2700.

Never won more than a couple bucks in the lotto.

3 to 5k on Pro-Line, dozens of times.
Just started buying those new $ 30 scratch tickets. What's next , $50-$100 scratch tickets ? Just another form of taxation. ARGH.

Never won big in any lottery or casino. But then again, I don't do them often. I might buy scratch tix at a gas station here and there, and hit the casino once every 3 years with my Warren Buffet wallet of $250. lol

Scratch tix: I've probably bought a few hundred in my life at most. The best I've won is free ticket or a prize worth the same as the ticket itself. I have never won a prize worth more than the ticket! Where are all these $50, $100, $1000 prizes? lol. Geez... if I buy a $10 ticket, can I at least win $20 once in a while? Haha

Casino: Most I've won is a few hundred. Most I've lost is my whole starting budget ($200-300). There have times that $200-300 lasted me hours at a table. There were times I lost it all in (no joke) in 10 minutes. There have times playing card games I lost 10 in a row despite playing by the book. Oh well. On the plus side, just about every casino has a buffet!

Here
Lotteries are a special tax and penalty on people who did not pay attention during classes in high school mathematics... which, apparently, includes me!

I won several thousands in Vegas and Puerto Rico many years ago... and walked away a winner.

But not so smart on 6/49, LottoMax, etc.... once I won about $80... but, hey, someone has to win, no?

Can we also include what you have spent to "WIN" ?

Myself : 0 spent,0 won , dead even.
Not casting judgement, just not my thing.

Most I ever won in a casino is $8300 in just over an hour most I ever lost is $3400 in 15 minutes.
Lotteries I rarely play pro line I have won $1000 twice.
Football pools I play every year with a few friends and former co workers and I have won 5 out of 9, usually around $3000-$4000 each

LOL. So true. But the temptation to toss the cashier an extra $5 for a scratch ticket is too hard to resist. They put them right there in the glass countertop.

They keep saying a scratch ticket has a 1/4 chance. Not in my experience. More like 1/5 or 1/6. And what they don't tell you is probably 95% of those winning tickets are just free ticket or worth the face value of the ticket. The actual chances of winning a price wirth more than you put in is probably no more than 1%.

It's funny how government run things like lotteries and casinos and Woodbine can be freely promoted on tv and in stores. yet for something like smokes, it's a big deal to hide them.

Lotteries = I'm down
Horse racing = I'm down
Casino = I'm down

Sports pools = I'm up! I o decently well in pools too. My pools aren't worth a lot... the usual $10-50 entry fee and the winners make $200-500. But I usually win one a year. On avg, I come out ahead most years. As long as someone knows sports decently, it's the best way to gamble and win, since half the people entering an office pool know nothing about sports, and you always have a few people who take all Leafs, all Habs or all players from their fav team. You can immediately considering them losers. And the prize is usually liberal with a top 3 finish making cash.

The funny thing is I'm not even a sports expert. I just know enough to keep up with the trends and just follow ESPN or TSN fantasy pool recommendations and just follow that.

Wow, some big wins! $10,000 jackpot and $8300 at a casino!

I bought a $20 scratch ticket a couple days ago. Didn't win a thing, but the anticipation and thrill of possibly winning a million bucks was worth it.

$120 on Super 7, approx. the same on 6/49

Won $2300 my first time ever going to bingo. Got dragged there by my gf at the time, who was pissed when I won because she had been going for years & never won anything big.
