I used to work for an Insurance company. I was asked what I thought was the group that had the most accidents and my answer was "Asian women". I was told it was statiically young white males.

I was going to Scarborough Town Center a couple of weeks agp and was cut off twice in about 100 feet by two different Asian women drivers so who knows? I don't think bad driving is based on race...

I'm asian and I'll be the first one to tell you that asian drivers generally suck. Ever been to one of those asian malls on hwy7? It's like taking your car into a war zone.

But I will say this though. Now I wasn't present but that guy from Hamilton making that comment was probably being a bit racist. I joke around all the time about bad asian drivers but having lived in Hamilton for a number of years I also know there's a lot of ignorance there too.

It's a proven fact that Asians have a narrower range of peripherial vision then other races; mainly due to the shape of the eye.

At first, I didn't see your post because it was too high up on my computer screen. My slanted eyes also makes it difficult to see above and below my eye level. Maybe that's why they fired me from my job as a pilot at Air Canada - due to my slanted and narrow eyes, I couldn't fly for shit. I was lucky that I could even drive to the airport without crashing into something. Nowadays, I just get a cab to work - it's much safer for everyone.

Is there is a possibility that your driving contributed to these incidents?

Second I have seen many many accidents, and 90% of them have included Asians.

I guess that is a large enough sample to take statistics from. I'm positive.

Shouldn't we be considering what the races are population wise in this area? I'd say if it was proven statistically that young white drivers are accountable for most of the accidents that is saying a lot race wise because there is older white drivers out there too. But, still there is many other races to be combined into that and age factors for all races before we can make an accurate total. So far this is all just assumptions and gut feelings from what we see and/or believe. Then there is assumptions that women are worse drivers than men. So, maybe we should break it down into age, race and sex.

Maybe a poll about sex, race and age should be posted by how much insurance is paid. I believe insurance goes up with each infraction against your driving. That might tell us something. ie.. every 40 year old male and woman of what race is paying how much? Or maybe someone can look into it a bit more realistically with the proof.

Hey, I'm allowed I live in the "hill. On my insurance app under dangerous hobbies, they didn't mind about my scuba and dismantling of anti personnel mines while blindfolded but got positively nervous when I told them i drove in Markham every day. You know, because of the Italians.

Last time I saw a woman doing that it made me so mad I wanted to fold my paper, put down my coffee, slow down to the speed limit, wind down the window and yell at her......

One of the white guys totalled my car. A friend of mine was killed by a pickup driven by a white guy in rural ontario. Drunk drivers are nearly always white.

My car was t-boned and totalled by an Indian-Pakistani who was drunk-as-a-skunk, 4 times the legal limit.
