Why haven't you added the conservatives? the PC party in my riding isn't the consevative party.drlove said:Despite the scandals, I'm voting Liberal.
The PC's are the conservatives. I.e (Progressive Conservative)Judas H said:Why haven't you added the conservatives? the PC party in my riding isn't the consevative party.
But how do you feel about the Liberals?unshavencuban said:There's another sucker born every minute.
I love this city, but the stupidity of it's citizens baffle me,odds are my vote will not make a difference in my liberal/ndp battle of dumb bleeding heart artsy fucks, but we need a change & Harper is the man who will at least try to make this city/province & country better & safer-don't but into the liberal media. I am voting Conservative
The Progressive part of the Conservatives doesn't exist any more. They started their own party during the last election.drlove said:The PC's are the conservatives. I.e (Progressive Conservative)
I stand corrected. "Conservative" is what I meant.Judas H said:The Progressive part of the Conservatives doesn't exist any more. They started their own party during the last election.
Harper won't be able to do too much with a minority government. He'll have to keep all of Canada happy, including Liberals. I don't see him as a leader, but I don't like the fact that Canada will allow the Liberals to rip us off again.james t kirk said:I dunno.
On one hand, the economy is good, and Paul Martin is a big reason for that. So why fuck up a good thing. Adscam doesn't bother me that much to be honest, they are sorting it out. I like Paul Martin, I don't like Stephen Harper. I don't like the Tory social agenda.
On the other hand, I think the liberals are soft on crime and have let the military slide into the abys. Harper will do something about both of those issues I am sure. Harper has also promised to cut the GST which is a good thing in my books.
On the other foot, Harper has stated that he will re-open gay marriage. Oh please no don't.
Sigh....
Yeah, like that's ever going to happen. If you believe that, I've got a bridge I'd like to sell you.james t kirk said:Harper has also promised to cut the GST...
If Harper wins a minority, it won't be by much, and he is just stupid enough to reopen the gay marriage thing pretty much right out of the gate at which time the liberals, NDP, and bloc will all gang up on him and he will be out on his ass and here we go again.Judas H said:Harper won't be able to do too much with a minority government. Just wait till the liberals crank up their negative advertising campaign any minute now.Dawgger said:I was going to and want to vote liberal. At this point in ths campaign I know I am not voting conservative.I think Harper is still a member of the reform party and has too many of Mannings programs in his plans.I don't trust him.I think he will be in bed with Bush at his first opportunity.Harper can make all the promises he wants, can he and will he keep them?
I also believe our economy has come along under Martin as finance minister.Unemployment is as low as I can ever remember it.The markets are strong.Things are good.
As a prime minister Martin doesn't seem to have the leadership to run the country.(which leader does?)"Mr. Dithers" was/is an appropriate namefor Martin.
Wait until the next debate then I may have a better idea where my vote is going.
Judas H said:The Liberals are running the worst campain ever. I was just watching the news, and someone said that the Liberals haven't even come up with a Campain slogan yet.
Couldn't agree with you more.
If the liberals plan to launch a negative attack after the debate,I probably won't vote for them.I am looking for some positive message I can build on.I already believe Harper ain't the man and don't need a negative campaign to tell me that.Give me a reason to vote liberal not a message that tells something negative about their oponent(s).
Does anyone believe any of the leaders are good Prime Minister material?
I don't!
Actually, it's the Youth Justice Act, which superceded the Young Offenders Act, which is an even bigger piece of tripe than the former.Macdaddy4life said:I have always voted Liberal in the past. The one thing that attracts me to Harper the most is knowing that he will be committed to strengthening our relationship with the USA. Martin has said some things that may come back to haunt us is he gets re elected.
Now don't get me wrong I am not a big USA supporter, but I do know that most of our trade and business evolves around them and Harper does as well.
The other thing that has me leaning towards the Conservatives is the prospect of trying violent offenders over the age of 14 as adults; thus eliminating the most absurd law we have, the young offenders act.
That's why I'm voting for them! LOLjames t kirk said:One other thing to consider, the Liberals will be more "pro-hobby" than the conservatives.
