ryerson is a university i am working on my nursing degree there.... my bro also got his nursing DEGREE there and is an RN so therefor it is a university... and he is highly qualified making great coin as a district cordinator
The Ryerson real estate could eventually end up being worth more than the U of T real estate. R's a lot smaller but the location's better, especially if Regent Park comes out of poverty and isn't dragging down RE values in the area.

I would argue that point. U of T is right in the middle of the "Golden Mile" on Bloor. It is close to Yorkville and the Annex. Do you know how many medical people and teachers with high paying government jobs live in the Annex and Yorkville? However, it is possible that Ryerson real estate has greater growth potential than U of T but unlikely to ever be worth more than U of T. Also, there are 20 million Asians who live in and around U of T and we all know that Asians drive up property value (just look at Vancouver).

It wasn't always a university.

Ryerson Institute of Technology founded 1948
changed to Ryerson Polytechnical Institute, 1966
changed to Ryerson Polytechnic University 1993
changed to Ryerson University 2001

I'm sorry but I cannot take this school seriously if they offer a bachelor's degree in Fashion Communication.

Scarlett, your efforts towards your RN is very commendable and difficult to achieve. It's a shame that these types of programs erode the academic credibility of the institution.

When I think of Ryerson, I think of hot white Journalists in waiting.

OTOH when I think of Nursing, other than nurse fetish in porn :) I could think of UofT for Nursing degree.

BTW, like everything in real life, many nurses I encounter nowadays are nothing closed to those in porn. Rather, quite a significant number of them are Filipino, Jamaican, South Asian and Chinese descents.

And yes, in terms of job nature, nursing is tough and thankless in many cases.

LOL, the property value in the GTA is still a "bargain" compared to overseas. ;)

Im sure you're in school.. because if some creepy guy was talking to me Id be sure to ignore him.. Unless you were creeping from the bushes.
I tend to find myself attractive.. but when my classes start early, I do not care for dressing up as I dont care for a mans opinon whether Im hot or not.. Im there to learn and study not to see whos paying attention to me
The ones I have talked to, who did dress up and wear tons of make up were dead as a fish.

Speaking for someone who still hasn't graduated:

The easier the school/program, the hotter the girls.

In the hard programs, students don't have time to look cool/pretty, and get high marks.

Most universities offer programs in Women's Studies, if the above is the worst Ryerson offers, that would put them above the Ivy League and Oxbidge.
Never mind the foolishness that goes on in your typical English, Philosophy and Fine Arts departments.

But I am one of those morons who happen to think that Quantum gravity isn't a social construct and that E=MC^2 isn't sexist. What do I know.

Would you take TERB University seriously if it offered Masters degrees in SP Agency Management, Courtesanship, or Hobbyist Psychology Studies?
Would you take TERB Inc. seriously if its IPO made you tons of money (that you recovered from your hobbying losses)?
Does a former Drill Sergeant make a terrible therapist?
Could 15 minutes really save you 15% or more on SP service? lol

You don't think marketing, advertising, public relations, and media relations are an important part of the fashion industry? This is just your standard undergraduate business marketing program geared towards a specific industry.

Big money is spent by big businesses in this area, it's among one of the biggest advertising spends there is out there, with possibly only alcohol purveyors outspending the fashion industry. I would think the specialization is well appreciated by industry!

Ok, so I went through my old Playboy mags and found one girl each from UofT, Humber, Brock, Kingston College and Ryerson ("Milissa Michele").

Out being curious
I attended U of T for 1 semester and both my best friends still go there but ended up doing my act sci at york...my ex so at the time still goes to ryerson..as a recent grad (april) I think I have a good idea of which school has the hotter chicks..

By far York wins..could be because of sheer population or that girls are looking for fun there.
At Ryerson..they still wanna have fun..proximity to Eaton (they dress up becuz they might go to the mall) and partying is a high priority....so it seems that they have hotter girls...when really they have more girls dressing and acting slutty
U of T DOES have a lot of hotties but they don't show it off...they are more studious and care a great deal about their marks...but when they party..they friggin party and the hotties show off what they got...trust me there is some serious talent there...I would give the edge to U of T over Ryerson for "hotties" but I'd give Ryerson the edge for "girls who will fuck"

However York still owns both. IMHO.

I can't speak for nursing but a UofT degree is much more highly regarded by employers than a similar degree from Ryerson.
