This question goes out to all of you who were in a long term relationship that ended. In this case, long term means 10 years or more.
If you remained able and willing to live as a couple through ten years of all the good and bad that life gave you, and all the good and bad that you gave to each other, why then, did it end?
Also, how did you feel about it now? And, if it ended a long time ago (no minimum here. Use your own judgement), how did you feel about it right after the split?

Right after it was rough...in the long run very glad. Why it ended? It probably should have never started but some people stay in bad relationships for a long time for many reasons.

After 17 years she became bat-shit crazy and started abusing kids and me. Tried to make it work for a couple years but eventually had to take the kids and get out. Happy when it happened (both kids and me). Happier now.
Was engaged for 2 years with her for 5 was about I would say 9 months away from the wedding date. The entire part of our relationship I supported her let her live with me I paid all bills everything put her through school. She got a job as a travel agent getting to roam the world for free. I am sitting at home she forgot her ipad that I bought her while she is out. I hear it binging like crazy open it up some guy she met in Jamaica while there for free on a work trip is messaging her not just lovely dovey crap but also sending naked pictures of there time together while in Jamaica. So her nasty whore ass cheating on me is what ended it. I packed her shit and left it at the front of the building with a note saying we are done I know you were cheating blah blah blah and i'm keeping the Ipad. Sooooo Basically she cheated on me.
