I hobby because I spend most of my time working towards building a good career in a competitive field with lots of legwork and schedule instability. While money isnt an issue for me, I have rarely the time or the energy to date a girl and pursue an actual relationship. While I'm sure I could just stay home and watch porn at night, it is hard to match the intamate contact that comes with being with a person. I could quote a number of different comments from this thread, because many of you echo my thoughts about "why men pay for sex?" As a member of the "physically repulsive" group mentioned in this article, I, in a true Darwinian sense, have nothing women look for in a mate. Whether it's a sexual encounter or committed relationship, woman are driven away to those who are profoundly physically different and of extremely limited financial means. There's no blame or sour grapes and I'm not looking for a pity party; it's just the reality of our genes. I'm sure there are a number of SP's here who have clients with disabilities. They, like me, probably scrape together every cent they can just to afford a little intimate, non-caregiver companionship, an hour or two every few months to forget about what's not possible to explore and enjoy an aspect of life that most take for granted.
