La la land
Years ago married men past the 10 mark told me their stories how they took their wives to Timms for first dates, they got tired of spending money at Starbucks which never resulted a wife. Timms did it for them and they -men- never searched for other women. Now the men take their wives once in a while to different coffee shops.

Happily married.

I drink tea most of the time, if you are not use to drinking new tea then try using a regular tea bag and adding a pinch of good quality tea into the pot. Sometimes I like Earl Grey tea with some evaporated milk.

A while back there was a thread on TERB asking : Would you become a vampire if you can live forever? My answer was : No, because the other vampires would make me use Tetley Tampons at tea time, I prefer Earl Grey with some evaporated milk.

I do drink coffee sometimes. President's Choice coffee is a good product, but I did get a couple of cans this summer that was sub par. Loblaw's started offering a new product recently. President's Choice coffee in unground beans. The beans keep fresher longer, If you give the beans a quick roast in an iron skillet before you grind the beans the coffee is even better.

I mostly avoid Starbucks, because I do not like paying $6 for a cup of coffee, that cost 10¢ to make.

I only buy Tim's coffee when I am driving for hours. A Tim's every other hour, and I can drive all through the night.

MacDonalds has the best tasting coffee, in my opinion.

Bleh, all coffee tastes like ass, and not the well washed kind either. It's yet another thing people convince themselves tastes/feels good to cover up their addictions, like cigarettes and weed.

It’s a well proven fact that the brain thinks the same wine tastes better coming from a fancy bottle versus a plain bottle. Starbucks is milking this!

Starbucks coffee tastes like ass. Worst coffee I've ever tasted. Kidney damage spectrum.

Can't order small, medium or large. It has to be this....

Only good restaurant coffee I ever had was at a place on the corner of Parkside Drive and Bloor back in 1973. I actually went there because it was so great. lunch box.jpg

Still a restaurant, I see.

I love coffee. I went out with a health nut that had me switch for various herbal teas. When we broke up I couldn't wait to get back to the rich flavour of coffee brewed from fresh crushed beans.

If you love coffee I recommend getting a mill and grind coffeemaker. My favorite is Columbian but I like to vary the bean for variety. Everyone's palate is different but I prefer cream (no sugar/milk) as it adds a richness that I love.

I have a lot of pretentious rich friends that are horrified when I state I hate Starbucks coffee. Like the store - hate the coffee. (yes, I don't like their pumpkin slop either.) I do buy their dark chocolate covered beans. There is a snobbery that surrounds Starbucks that I hate but it is the taste that drives me away.

I prefer Tim's here and fresh brewed Dunkin Donuts in the US. To each their own.

GTA & Thereabouts...
I am a Tim Hortons' daily user and I'm disappointed... McDonalds is nowhere near me and I'm on the fence with Starbucks. I'm shopping for a great coffee maker now.

Tea has so many flavours... It may be a better choice for that morning fix.

SOOO many great espresso bars downtown for a quick shot before a great SP session. Jimmy’s on Gerrard makes a convenient stop before the Bay and Gerrard locations, for example.

Starbucks is the only place where I get to consistently check out Rich Milfs. They tie their dog outside, run in, grab their drink, plus a $8 drink for their dog. Imagine hooking up with them!

When I was using SBs it was my place to go for a meet n greet. Offering the ladies a pumpkin spice latte was the key. Albeit for everyday java, Tim's does the trick for me.

Starbucks exists. Made a switch couple weeks ago. Major life upgrade.

Better hours.
Better service.
Better food.
Better coffee.

Deleted the Tim Hortons app and installed Starbucks. Pre loaded 50 bucks.
Geography, no easy access to Starbucks or some independent place without paying to park or taking a chance of not getting a parking ticket

McD's coffee is probably better than both of them but getting there involves a drive.

I have at least three Tim's locations within easy walking distance and more with easy parking on routes I use all the time.

I am not that fussy about coffee quality I am not getting a fancy drink, either dark roast black coffee or dark roast with cream.

Tim's app makes ordering ahead pretty easy walk past the line, maybe get some evil eye looks from the folks waiting in line, grab my order and exit.

Wal Mart "Great Value" brand. Less than $4.00 for a large jar. Got used to it. Kinda got to like it. Now it isn't available recently.

I have not walked into a Starbucks since March 2020. When they closed down stores during the early part of the pandemic they lost me as a customer for good.
I liked their coffee. And I loved the banana bread. But that's about it. Also thought it was overpriced.
I don't mind Tim's dark roast coffee. And I think their food is decent. My only problem with them is their staff get order wrong at least 10% of the time. And I won't wait in a line that is longer than 5 or 6 people.
