Simply put, it's a matter of personal preference. Personally, I'd prefer to use a condom for my intimate encounters, but some guys won't.
Well said Robynn. I'd bet most of the general population are not as up to date on STD's and getting tested as most SP's.

Another way to look at bbbjs is; as a BAD INVESTMENT. Maybe today I'll earn that couple of hundred dollars, but tomorrow and over time I'll have to spend thousands on medicine.

I still subscribe to the idea that there is risk in the business and risk with random girls at the bar. Either one can have a long, unknown history and if you take some amount of risk no matter what you do. BBBJ is an increased risk, but most people on this board both male and female seem to live another day after BBBJ and part of what this board would ultimately do is give people the information they need to be safer.
The SP's on this board are not the streetwalking types that the CDC, WHO, etc. warns about in regard to STD's. In that crowd you are looking at individuals that expose themselves to more risks and most likely are not taking the measures that many here do to stay safe. I'd like to think there's a level of professionalism and responsibility here that ultimately lowers the chances of STD outbreaks in the GTA. Now, I'm not saying that everyone, both SP and client, have these qualities. But a look around this site would tell you that if you are informed and do things right, you can have a good time and be safe (relatively safe). I realize what I'm saying doesn't apply to every girl that advertises/is reviewed here or every client here, but let's not scare ourselves into not enjoying this hobby. There is risk, but it is up to the individual to decide how much risk they are willing to assume for pleasure/money.

Not every SP is a mature late twenty something, intelligent, educated woman. Without getting into a debate about YOUR reasons for becoming a sex worker, it is an undeniable fact that many do it because they lacked the skills or education to make a comparable living in the "straight" world...and many others do it (the 18 / 19 / 20 year olds come to mind...they aren't ALL "university students trying to make ends meet) simply to make as much money as possible to buy "things". My guess is these girls aren't as diligent as yourself.
I don't doubt what you are saying here ONE BIT...as it applies to YOU. I'm just saying my personal observation from 4+ years on this board is that you would not be representative of most SPs...
