TERB didn't set the pace of review boards. They would have happened in time regardless just based on the way the internet was going. There were boards that were doing very well before TERB came around. You can't say for fact that the boards out there that slam TERB wouldn't be there if TERB wasn't here. The motivation factor may have been to compete and take out TERB{ quote our long lost friend TBILL} but it doesn't mean that without TERB we would have no review boards.
Now BB I believe that most of this is directed to me as I am the one saying this lately, but I will clear something up. If TERB would take an official stand and treat everyone with the same rules and guidelines alot of it wouldn't happen. Then again the garden of Eden didn't last so I am understanding to the fact that this can't always and will not always happen.
Most of what I say is to try and challenge ones thinking, because for the most part any professional working lady agrees with most of what hobbyist feel is their right. If you break it all down, we do. We don't think it is right for a girl to be a paid advertiser and pull the NRP because she is an unprofessional worker. On the other side though, we don't agree that just because we provide a service that the customer has the right to review us regardless of our wishes. I mean if you had a good session and she has a clearly stated NRP, why would disrespect her and provide a review. Now people are going to do what they are going to do, but comments like, don't like being reviewed get out of the business, we are the client and we are right so too bad for you, it is not something we just have to lay down and take.
There is, regardless if people see it or not, an “Us vs. Them” mentality on this board. And it shouldn’t and doesn’t need to be that way. This whole agreement of “this is an Escort review board, that is what it is called Toronto Escort Review Board” and if you don’t like it get out of this business is selfish in my opinion. We should be able to co-exist. I remember a TERB, where a lady could post about her frustrations of having a bunch of no-shows and people would post their sympathies and a lot of ladies would post better ways to screen calls to ensure that you get fewer amounts of no shows. Now, all the replies are, “it is apart of the business, get use to it or find a new job.”
If we as providers can be understanding and sympatric to men who are stood up, or to men who have been involved in a B&S, or have been ripped off in some way, then why can’t that sympathy be reciprocated, and why is it wrong for us to expect it.
TERB will never be able to make everyone happy. I completely understand this, but if you take on the responsibility of running and owning a board, any type of board, not just adult based, you have a responsibility of bringing balance, and I think this is where TERB is faulting. Again this is just my opinion and I can say on behalf of some others this is their feelings on the matter as well. Yes we are providers, yes we are selling a product that is our bodies, but we are not a piece of meat and do not need to be treated as such. We do not need to treated less then human, or beneath the respect line of mainstream women because we happen to be hookers, and we don’t have to lay down and take whatever a we are handed because of what we choose to do. Do you see us coming down on all the married men for “cheating” on their wives and if we did, what would be the outcome of that thread, I wonder?????
We equally need each other. Hobbyist need providers to provider the service they are looking for and providers need the hobbyist and the income that results, so why should we be in this Us vs. Them mode????? I honestly don’t have the answer to that and I don’t think anyone does. I mean if we did then this probably wouldn’t be an issue.
Treat us right and we will treat you right, or if you feel better, we will treat you right and then you can treat us right. I personally don’t care who steps up to the plate first our side or yours, but something has to give, or things will only get worse.
