This is funny - dont' true bike lovers appreciate both??? Not necessarily want to ride both because they are fundamentally different but at least appreciate them...

I love Harley's for their "uniqueness" - generally alot of time and $$$ goes into customizing them and the finished product is usually mind blowing. However, I would prefer to be on a GSX R 750 (remember I'm a girl so the 1100 is way too powerful for me) and I love the ZX9.

Again, Alien has proven what a l o s e r he is (IMO). Please, Alien get a Ninja....or maybe you could just ride around on a sewing machine for fun. As for the DRZ 400, again, get a real bike...You're always talking about how much money you make - get one of each...an RM 250 maybe for motocross....but please don't ride around on the streets on a 400 "dual sport" bike. Just because it *can* be ridden on the streets, doesn't mean it should be! You'll look even more like an idiot!

Not really my style, Sheik...I have to admit I love the newer Jap Scrap ;)

Gotta agree with you about the yahoos that ride around though. It's so trendy to have a bike now that it isn't just guys who truly love to ride anymore. You end up with alot of punks who just think they look cool! Don't get me wrong, bikes are definitely fun, but the guys riding around downtown in the club district being idiots on a Saturday night need to grow up. They're so funny, they all come downtown to "pick up" and end up sitting outside on the sidewalk together 'cuz they have their helmets with them and won't leave them in the coat check (neither would I). I prefer riding in the middle of the night (when possible) when it's quiet, just for the love of riding! (that sounds so corny!)

I ride and have owned both and there is beauty in both style of bikes, when i owned a sport bike it was fast and thrilling i was in my 20"s and had a blast with it..then the need for speed calmed down and i sold it paid 1 about $10000 for it cbr600.then sold it after 3 years for $6000. now i am in my 30's and bought a fatboy 2 years ago paid $28000 sold it in sept for... ready $28300,the beauty about harleys is the most expensive one is your first one,i did nothing to the bike just basically rode it for free for 2 years and loved it just as much as the rice rocket..now this summer going to buy another one my brother has a 100th aniversery road king thats a beautifull bike, and think i am going to stick with harley. plus everyone i ride with has cruising bikes will look a little funny on a rice rocket..lol,but my point is i have had both and they are both great in diffrent ways but there is no need to knock one over the other it is just a matter of personal prefrence thats all.. ride what you like, what you can handle and i guess what you can afford,But Just ride something in the summer even if it's a vespa....lol oh by the way i have no beard no hairy balls no gut and am kinda clean cut so there goes the myth on harley bikers...lol
