If the last few days have not shown everybody that Canada is a failed
experiment, I don't know what will.

Canada is not a failed experiment, it is an ongoing experiment. I believe Canada to be the greatest country in the world.

Still, we need to revamp our political system. We have to decide if we want to be an autonomous democracy or a colony of Great Britain. In true Canadian fashion, our system was built on a collection of compromises between having autonomy and keeping the traditions and symbolisms of a colony.

It's been 140 years, time to get rid of the symbolism. Once we do that, our political system will work much better.

This country has no cohesion, hardly anybody considers
themselves canadian. People consider themselves foremost westeners, french quebecers, british, chinese or italiens.

The country is a hodgepot of regions with vastly different dreams and objectives,
most people hate someone from another region.

And that makes Canada unique in the world? Look at Russia where several regions have been fighting to get out, some have, and more want to. Look at the India and Pakistan where internal strife continues among regions and tribes, look at Italy where the North has hated the south, and vice versa, for hundreds of years and want to kick them out, look at the numerous African countries that have so much civil unrest, many South American countries as well, and dare I bring up the middle east where they shoot and bomb eachother just a few miles away.

There are too many countries to count around the world where people hate eachother from other regions and are hodgepots throughtout the country, that's the way of the world.

Canada is a relatively new country and these other countries around the world have been around for hundreds of years and still have similar problems. Canada is doing Ok and having travelled to almlost 100 countries around the world, we don't really know how good we have it here until you see the rest of the world.

I do think you are misreading the division in Canada. It's no worse than in the US and it's fueled by internal politics.
