Does anyone think we're due for a major terrorist attack here???
Bin Laden did mention Canada as a target so it's just a matter of time IMO

And I live smack downtown

Potential targets are: Subway, skydome, eaton centre, financial district & Yonge/Bloor

I doubt it but the authorities can not ofcourse rule it out and must prepare.

I think it is mainly USA & UK governments who have pissed the terrorists off the most..hence the appalling attacks.
Hmmmm, wonder if that's what they thought in Spain & Australia.

LOL.... I was thinking the same.
Terrorists seem to be making their way North/west (Spain and then London).

Next stop: Toronto :(

At least travel costs will be kept to a minimum.

It's been good to know ya
Unfortunatly we just never know what is in store for tomorrow. Just live your life to the best day after day. Sometimes it is as simple of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It could be as simple as falling down a flight of stairs or tripping over a shoe lace. It is sad that people cannot live and let live. If we worried about all the bad people in the world and wondered where they would be tomorrow we just would not sleep at night.

I don't really know
There is nothing we can really do to stop an terrorist attack, why change our lifestyles(it means they win)

why live in fear or worst become xenophobic

just go on and live your lifes, try to improve upon it and try to make some else's better

go out and find love or rent it for awhile

My opinion - yes, but a very, very low possibility.

My reasons:
1. Canada opposed US involvement in Iraq.
2. Canadian influence in the Middle East is minimal.
3. Canada is more important as a bridge to the US.

Lets hope I'm right. Don
Good points but remember that Bin Laden did mention us in his speech.
And I think Mexico is a better "bridge" then Canada

So? We enabled it by relieving US troops in Afghanistan. We were also first in line to try to cash in on the "rebuilding" of Iraq. Do you really think that our decision not to send a dinghy and three guys in green camoflage matters that much?

2. Canadian influence in the Middle East is minimal.
As opposed to Spain's?

3. Canada is more important as a bridge to the US.
Do they really need one?

I don't think Canada would be a target for a few reasons

#1) we don't have the large population concentrated in one general area as London, Spain etc....

#2) Tony Blair was a puppet to Bush during Iraq war, we as a nation kept clean

therefore IMO I don't think CND would be high on thier priority list

Except for the obvious fact that we are among the six nations that Bin Laden specifically cited as targets.

Do you Canadians really believe that our token opposition to the Iraq war meant anything outside of our own pompous borders?

Al Queda has repeatedly said their hit list is comprised of six nations, US, UK, Australia, Spain, Canada and Italy, in order.

Were up next, be it next week or next year, it's only a matter of time.

Gone are the days of sprctacular attacks such as WTC bombing and 9/11. Expect low level hits on transit or public venues.

You had to know it was coming.
IF that is true, what did canada do?!?!? and is in one of their hit list...and my brother is heading to Australia to study....

Specifically, we invaded Afghanistan and continue to maintain a presence there.

Australia has already been targeted via the Bali nightclub bombings.

I believe that Vancouver will get hit in a couple years during the olympics... They probably just started planning it...

Extremeist Religious Fucks... How much damage does religion have to do to our civilization?

Just my 2 cents
