unless you do some heavy banking on this computer or stock transactions (which you shouldn't do on illegal copy) where loopholes in Windows XP can be exploited you don't need SP2.
oh BTW some games require SP2 drivers

thats not true, guy does not know what he is talking about.
Microsoft Stated that the only blacklisted keys in SP2 Final Version will be the ones that were previous blocked in SP1 they felt it was better to let the pirated copys to update instead of having them get infected.
So if you copy worked with SP1 you should be able to update to SP2.
Microsoft does not publish what keys were blocked in SP1.
you can stop worrying if your copy works if you just purchased Windows XP.
