so whats the solution? banning guns?maybe it is but it is still higher than just about everywhere. why is it so hard to admit that maybe you are not a perfect country and some other places might be doing it right and better ?

why must you go from one extreme to another ? why can't you find a middle ground that works. why are you so angry at looking at other developed countries with gun laws that work and adopting their policy. what are you afraid of ?so whats the solution? banning guns?
Because you can't overlook 100s of variables while pin pointing to one policy and yell "see it works!" And this is exactly what the average anti-gun person does.why must you go from one extreme to another ? why can't you find a middle ground that works. why are you so angry at looking at other developed countries with gun laws that work and adopting their policy. what are you afraid of ?
i am not anti gun. i have owned guns and will own guns again. i see no problem at all with the canadian laws. several other civilized places have put in place gun controls that work. i find it cowardly to be afraid to even think about thinking there is a problem.Because you can't overlook 100s of variables while pin pointing to one policy and yell "see it works!" And this is exactly what the average anti-gun person does.
and i believe that there is no reason for trucks to be on the road, and i believe that to prevent accidents with trucks you should only be able to drive between 12 am and 6 am...i need 1 gun to protect my house and i can use that same gun to go hunting. i can keep that gun locked up with trigger locks. i have no issue waiting 7 days to get it so who is selling it can do a full check on me to make sure i am not crazy. i have no problem registering the gun, yes i know long gun registry is gone but i never had a problem with it.
i don't see any need to have 10 guns with 30 round clips and spread in every room of the house.
your truck argument is dumb, you stick up for them in other threads and then trash them when i go making sense. to compare trucks to guns is very dumb.and i believe that there is no reason for trucks to be on the road, and i believe that to prevent accidents with trucks you should only be able to drive between 12 am and 6 am...
there is just no reason for them, see same kind of logic.
why should there be magazine capacity limit of 5 rounds? why do i need a authorization to transport my firearm to a gun range when i already have a valid possession and acquisition license in the first place? why do i need another authorization to transport my firearm from the store?
why are security guards allowed to carry firearms to protect money, but i cannot carry one to protect my life?
im trying to show you how my opinion on something that doesn't affect me but affects you is silly...just as yours is about guns and what you "think" people need or should have.your truck argument is dumb, you stick up for them in other threads and then trash them when i go making sense. to compare trucks to guns is very dumb.
if no one else was carrying a gun why would you need to carry one ? why does it hurt your life to have to make a call before you go to a gun range ? how many people do you have trying to kill you on a regular basis ?
yes i watch the news. i see that there is minimal gun crime and armed robbery in places like canada and australia and other places that have strict gun laws. i see it running wild in the u.s that has almost none.im trying to show you how my opinion on something that doesn't affect me but affects you is silly...just as yours is about guns and what you "think" people need or should have.
as for no one carrying a gun? do you watch the news at all? there is no shortage of criminals who are willing to rob, kill and rape people.
and why does it hurt my life to make a phone call?? hahahah once again im trying to show you how ridiculous our system is and how it does nothing to actually prevent crime, just harassed the LAW ABIDING CITIZEN while making the uneducated and naive believe that it somehow is preventing CRIMINALS from breaking the law.
and why are you so terrified to admit that more laws wont prevent people from breaking the current ones?yes i watch the news. i see that there is minimal gun crime and armed robbery in places like canada and australia and other places that have strict gun laws. i see it running wild in the u.s that has almost none.
i am not getting into another truck talk with you. trucks and vehicles in general were built to make our lives easier and accidents were a horrible side effect. guns were only designed for one thing and that was to kill.
does calling and saying your are heading to a gun range or saying you are taking your gun hunting really ruin your day all that much ? if our system does nothing to prevent crime why don't you read about endless armed robbery and hold ups every single day ? seems that some rules work.
why are you so terrified to admit that the u.s gun regulations are pathetic and do nothing ?
i don'[t understand the defensive bullshit form americans. yes we know you love your guns, yes we know you love your "freedom" (even though you are almost not even in the top 10 on that anymore for personal freedoms) but other parts of the world have gun control laws and far less crime. why is it so difficult for you folks to get the concept that maybe, just maybe the way you are doing it isn't the best way.
Its is also mentally insane that parents buy their 5 year-olds Jiminy Cricket 22 cal rifles then shoot their little sister to death BUT that's America.Of course they have gun control laws, the point is they're a joke. Yes you can walk into a gun show and buy guns from a private dealer who set up a booth, but the licensed dealers will do a background check on you. Until this loophole gets closed, yes a criminal or mentally insane individual can buy a gun in a private sale. Congress should be ashamed.
so guns were created for target practice ? guns were created to kill, the rest is side effects to make them kill better. guns were not only meant for robberies, guns are used in hunting. trucks and vehicles were invented to move people and products and make lives easier. can you really tell me that person who invented guns was sitting around trying to think of ways to make holes in paper and this was the best idea he came up with ? guns were invented to kill, either for war or food.and why are you so terrified to admit that more laws wont prevent people from breaking the current ones?
and the only purpose of guns isnt to kill, they are used for target practice, hunting and self defence. majority of police officers for example will never have to draw their guns in their career, simply having it is deterrent enough for most.
me saying that trucks are meant for nothing else but to kill innocent drivers is the same as you saying guns are only used to kill.
you have to be able to think outside the box simon, if guns were the problem your local police station would be a blood bath, however the opposite is true.
im all for keeping firearms from people who shouldn't have them, but stop going after the law abiding citizens in a sad attempt to appear that something is being done about the criminals
It's not insane to buy your kid a rifle. It's comes down to piss poor parenting that allowed their son to have easy access to the firearm and piss poor storage for securing the firearm and ammunition. Its is also mentally insane that parents buy their 5 year-olds Jiminy Cricket 22 cal rifles then shoot their little sister to death BUT that's America.
in case of an accident seat belt might hurt you but in all likelihood it will help you. In case of an accident involving guns the chance that your own gun will hurt you is probably as big statistically as the chance that it will help you.Like having seat belts. You wear 'em even though you never think you'll get into an accident but the day you do get into a serious one, you'd be sure glad you had them.
That's true, we could still charge someone found in illegal possession of a gun.I don't see why, at least in Canada. We have laws on possession and acquisition.
