I'd be afraid that i would consent to go along and then she would turn me down because we are familiar with one another. And rejection by an SP is basically the last stop on this ride for me. So no i would not offer to go through with it.
Don't be silly. At that point the two people would sit down and talk about it. Otherwise it would be too uncomfortable to work together. That tension would come to a head and sooner or later cause huge problems. So work it out and agree on mutual respect.
