How fucking hard is it to read a cue card???

While Harvey has deserved much of the shame passed his way, the producer should be fired and never work on a live awards event again: it is inexcusable for the producer to not have made absolutely certain that the host knew the exact layout of the cue card, and practiced the order in which the winners would be announced several times (using made-up countries).

And whoever designed the cue card, with the winner's name off to the side and in a small font should similarly never work on such an event ever again. Absolutely inexcusable. The purpose of the cue card is to cue the host what to say, how to say it, and what to emphasize. As designed on the cue card, the winner's country name looked more like staging notes than the feature announcement of the entire evening.
