A friend of mine that doesn't have access to a PC asked me to check out www.freecreditreport.com for her to see what it is all about. She said she saw the ad for the site on T.V.

So I did.

I tell her that I will need her to write down her information like address, ect.

Then she's like "Oh yeah right, it sounds like a scam...I've been hiding from creditors, you think I'm going to give out my new address?! How do I know that they won't give it to the credit card companies?"

I don't know

Anyone have experience with this type of site? Is it really a scam?

I believe that is an american site for american citicens only....


She can get one online for i think 25 bucks at equifax.....or go to yonge and sheppard she can get it for free.


Yes if she enters the new addres then the bureau will update and the new address will show..........if she is hiding then why does she want to see it she is probably ruined.

If she wants tell her to to request one with her old address.

It's a site that was created when the law passed stating that we are entitled to one free credit report per year. I just used it a few months back, not a scam, but I do think that it is for American credit reports.
