Preliminary results from the Kentucky exit polls show Clinton winning seven in 10 white votes, including three-quarters of whites who have not finished college. That group has consistently backed her strongly, even as Obama edges toward winning the nomination.

WHY ? Obama gets the people who have gone to college but Hillary keeps getting the non-college low pay voters even as she look for sure to lose to Obama.

I can't understand why. If anything, I feel Obama would do more to help those folks out then the folks who already have good jobs with health care insurance. Live in good areas with well run schools. Obama would try to help the poorest people the most but those folks keep voting for Hillary.

I just don't get it

I'm hearing that Obama seems to have an 'elitist' air about him, which may be hurting his mass appeal numbers and his ability to connect to some voters.

Hillary winning big in Kentucky is as easily predictable as her win in WV. Both are very economically depressed and undoubtedly look to the Clinton legacy to return them to the better days of the 90's. Beyond that, that either State wouldn't go for an African American candidate shouldn't really be a surprise to anyone.

Heaven, definately Heaven
37% Reporting:

CLINTON 55%
OBAMA 41%

Of those who say Obama SHARES the views of Jermiah Wright, 91% voted for Clinton, 8% voted for Obama.

As much as the media tried to change the views of the voters with bogus "Obama to take the lead and seal the deal" nonsense, he LOST another one. Hope. Change. Hope for Change. Lose another state.

I hope Oregon goes Clinton. Really I do.

..she has hinted but will she come out and say it.
Whites will not elect Obama.
She is probably right, but she is still crap.
But even that dyke bitch I would vote for over Mccain.
He equals a major escalation in the ME.
But she maybe just as bad.
Is this really the best the US has to offer?
And if so is our Democracy failing?

She knows she has no chance of winning. She wants to skewer Obama's chances of beating McCain so that she can run again after 4 more years of GOP rule.

But it went better for her than Kentucky went for Obama.

KENTUCKY: 100% REPORTING

CLINTON: 65.5%
OBAMA: 29.5%

The newspapers in the USA are biased towards Obama. Leaving out the Clinton win in the headline (she CRUSHED Obama) and removing the .5% away giving her 65% and Obama 20%. Like in Iowa, where she was less than .05% from second place and they called her in 3rd place. So less than .05% says she's in third and .5% bumps Obama to 30%.

Jealousy is involved here. Or worse, power hungry thoughts that a few words and distortions in a headline or two can actually influence the thoughts of voters and change the election to a personal wish. That will never change, so I'm going to get laid and do what I love to do (and get paid).

Every political loser in the US asserts that their loss is because the media is biased against them. The media is biased in favour of the view of the majority.

Hillary can keep on winning "landslides" and Obama will win the nomination because he's won by every measure that matters in this race. Hillary can have Florida and Mich. on her terms, and he still wins.

Both are going to go into that convention as non-winners. Clinton has the big WINNER TAKE ALL states against John McCain and Obama the loser leaves all small caucus states and bible belt states where the African American vote won't be enough.

It's a solid argument, so be prepared to say Madam President. Be prepared for Clinton/Obama more than Obama/Clinton.

This poll is going on today in the Toronto Star

Who do you think would be a better friend to Canada as U.S. president?

John McCain 26%

Hillary Clinton 27%

Barack Obama 46%

Even Canada knows who would be the "best" leader for most in the USA, lol

Be prepared for neither. Are you persisting in this as some sort of private joke?

Oregon, Iowa, and many other states proved that view wrong. The states in which Clinton wins the non-college-educated white vote are ONLY those along the Appalachian mountains -- these are states that would vote republican anyway, plus some battleground states like Pennsylvania and Ohio. Obama wins the non-college-educated white vote everywhere else, in both red states and blue states.

Here's a set of maps and info that lays it out.
