The south end of the Eaton Centre has re opened the food court on Wed., anyone try it yet?

It is owned and operated by Oliver and Bonacini restauranteurs.
The previous was operated by Richtree.

finally a fish and chips place back at the EC , think I’ll check ‘‘em today.

Was only at the old Richtree a couple of times. But it was a nice cozy plant covered place.

Was Richtree the place where you would go in, they hall different stations, you would grab a plate from the station and they would make if for you right out in the open?

For fish and chips, I may have to take the drive.

That is basically all I ate on my tour east. Stopped at every little hole in the wall place I could find. Drove from here to St Johns and it was an awesome time.

There is a fish and chips place on 5th Street in Etobicoke (New Toronto Fish and Chips) that still fires in beef tallow! NOTHING better to fry potatoes in! Definitely can taste and feel the difference!

I just don’t get it, most of O&B places and concepts have been flops other than a few of their flagship restaurants such as Auberge,Canoe and Jump but they are still opening more and more places and landlords seem to be bending backwards to accommodate them.

I went to UK last year and brought back some beef dripping. Cost about $5. I put a big knob of beef dripping into the air fryer when frying my fat/British style chips (using russet potatoes). Gives off a nice smell too!

Try The Queen and Beaver Public House on south side of Elm St between Yonge and Bay.
Real authentic English Style F and C, I forgot about that place.
Last time I was there was to watch the ‘94 World Cup.

I miss the old North food court from the 90’s before they have the one there now. Used to get my F&C there, they would give me the largest piece of fish available as I was a regular customer!

I like this place in Kensington Market. Try to fish and battered in Miss Vickies potato chips. (An idea I came up with decades ago using salt and vinegar ridged chips (like Ruffles but from Presidents Choice!!)

Halibut is very tasty, a meal of halibut and sweet potato fries will run you $21.50. Cod and chips will run $16.90.

For an immigrant from Wales, Michael Bonacini has done very well for himself. I've had the bone marrow onion soup, it was so good I came.

I got it from Fresco. It ran me 25 bucks for the Halibut and fries and then another 4 bucks to sub sweet potato fries. Have had french onion soup, and bone marrow on toast separately but bone marrow and onion soup am yet to try!
