People keep going on about brand names and trends, but to me, that is not the issue. Simply put, the majority of Canadian and North American men
and women dress (in my opinion) overly casually, bordering on sloppy on a day-to-day basis. There is no sense of style and little in the way of taking pride in one's appearance.
For example, even when men here wear suits, they are often cheap, off-the-rack and untailored. Or ill-fitting baggy jeans for "casual" days. And yes, often following trends that have become long obselete. (Think: "Affliction"-style t-shirts.)
It would be a nice turn if more people in Toronto, Canada and North America just put a little effort into what they wear. It doesn't cost a lot of money, and it goes a long way - in every way.
And yes, I am a little superficial.
